One of the ONLY condos right ON the beach!!My husband is also reviewing this unit, but mine will be more targeted towards seniors, people with disabilities, and guess with size concerns. We rented our unit on Airbnb through Connect Coastal. Each condo is separately owned, so the negative reviews usually only refer to certain units. The whole property is wonderful! We stayed in 1117, Octopus Gardens, and were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was! It was spotless, bright and welcoming . We were there just after Labor Day weekend, so the rates were better, and we didn't run into a lot of other guests, which was nice. It made social distancing that much easier! Most guests were wearing masks in common areas, and a few even while swimming. The condo is on the small side, especially if you are large, disabled and need a rollater like I do. The living area is tight, so I mostly used my cane there. But this unit has a (rare) king bed in the master, with a firm mattress and a very thick, cozy memory foam topper which we removed after the first night because it made turning difficult for me. (no headboard to hold onto) There is a quite large walk-in shower which was big enough for my shower seat from home. It has a small, roughly 3 inch lip and a curtain rather than a door, which made entering and exiting easy! If you have a suction grab bar, you might want to bring that, but the shower floor is textured and non-slip. There is not a handheld unit, but I managed just fine. The view from the deck is wonderful, and overlooks the lush, gorgeous pool area, grounds, boardwalk and ocean. There is a very sturdy bar height Adirondack seating set for 3 with table. I had some trouble getting into the chair, but a tip is to place it against the railing, and use it to boost up to your seat. There are also 2 comfy, wide, sturdy chairs inside, and a firm couch that pulls out to make a queen-sized bed. (we didn't use that) The furniture could be a bit higher for people with bad knees, but there are several cushions that you can use to sit on, as I did. I have a bariatric rollater, which I was able to just clear the hallway with, and the doors. I was not able to get it through the bathroom door, as it is very narrow, so wheelchair users need to be able to walk some, or find an ADA unit. Otherwise, the bathroom is good size, and there is ample room around the toilet. The master bedroom is also a tight fit, but I had enough room to walk around both sides. No luggage rack, so we used the kids' bunk bed area for our suitcases. Not sure that I'd want to house 6 people with all their stuff, but for us it was just right! The decor was perfect; beachy but not too kitschy. Thoughtful touches include an extension cord, outside drying rack, coffee/filters/spices in the cupboards, games/puzzles, an air purifier, a fan, REAL foaming hand soap, a shower dispenser with shampoo/conditioner/body wash, hand sanitizer, brochures for local attractions, and even beach toys for children! These are nice extras that we haven't found elsewhere. The pool has several entry points. I found that, being large and arthritic, the steps next to (not into) the hot tub were the easiest for me to manage, with the shallowest depth of stairs. I assumed it would be the widest steps on the other side of the pool that would work; however, the first level you step down to has no rail. Even with a cane, it was hazardous IMO. The hot tub attached to the pool had an entry that also seemed a bit narrow and dangerous for me. However, the "over 21" hot tub secluded over by the pool house was MUCH easier to navigate. Just be advised that the rail will be a little loose if you are heavy and pulling on it. I had my husband help brace it for me. One thing I LOVED is the nice wide boardwalk to the beach! I had no trouble navigating it, and it ends on firmly packed sand close to the water's edge. No loose sand to contend with, yay! I've never been able to use my rollater anywhere else on the beach. :) But be aware there are no bathrooms down there, so you'll have to use the ones in the pool area. As first time Airbnb-ers, we had some difficulty with check in after hours (7PM) and with very spotty cell reception, but the host was very friendly and accommodating in sorting out these issues. We recommend printing out details and making sure you get your door code before arriving, because you won't have wifi until you get inside. Our phones had zero bars on them. Ahh, modern technology, lol. All things, considered, this vacation was amazing and relaxing. The condo is beautiful. We will definitely stay here again!!

Seascape Condo 1215We arrived on Monday, September 28th, at around 1:45pm. I knew check-in wasn't until 3pm, but went to the office anyway. I was greeted by a very friendly gentleman who checked with housekeeping, and our unit was cleaned and ready to go, so we were able to go ahead and go to the unit. The unit itself, 1215, was a small one bedroom unit, but was furnished nicely, and was very clean and in good overall condition. A/C worked fine, wireless worked fine, couldn't really find anything to complain about. The pool area was very clean, and maintenance people were constantly working in the flower beds, mowing, weed eating, to make the area very appealing. The beach was not the greatest, and we knew before we headed down that the beach would not be anything like beaches at Jamaica or the DR. Hard packed sand, brownish water, but that is the Texas Gulf Coast. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and would certainly stay at Seascape again in the future, especially if we could get unit 1215 again.

A Great and Safe Get-awayThe units are older but spacious and well maintained. The kitchen has everything one needs to prepare meals. However there is an excellent variety of restaurants. We enjoyed walking on the clean sandy beaches nearby,.

Room 2206We stayed in room 2206 for 4 nights and we are very pleased! The room has been recently remodeled and its very clean and looks very new. Everything was very comfortable. There is a little bunk set up in the hall that was perfect for my 10 and 13 year old. The room overlooks the pool and you can see the gulf. The staff were out every morning cleaning the pool, chairs, tables and even power washing the concrete. We felt this condo and common areas were very well kept after!

Two bedroom unit 1101My husband booked this condo because it's locted right on the beach. It is close to the Jamaica beach side. The condos are a bit worn, but some owners have updated their units. We were in unit 1101. The condo is a nice size with a wrap around balcony facing the RV park. The unit needs deep cleaning.the baseboards need to be wiped down, the walls need touch up paint, dust is visibility built up on surfaces. There was urine on the floor in the master bathroom. The bed skirt was filthy, the bedding looked like it needed to be laundered. There were some red spots on the cover, bed skirt, shower curtin in the master and red splotches on the door to the master bathroom. There appears to be water damage on one wall in the master bedroom. There were stains on the bar stools and the vents need to be cleaned. There were dirty dishes in the drawers and plates had dried food on them. The advertisement said this place was professionally cleaned. Whoever they paid to clean that unit need to give the owners a full refund. All of the issues I had should have been taken care of by the property management team. Quality checks need to be conducted prior to renters taking possession of a unit. There wasn't a dresser or hangers provided. We were there 8 days and had to live out of our suitcases. The bathroom by the pool was filthy.
