Nice hotel in center of townThe Esplanade is an older hotel that has been renovated and is a good option for visiting Hearingsdorf. The breakfast options are plentiful and varied, rooms are clean and large without the cramped spaces that are customary in German hotels. The hotel location is about 200 meters from the town center. They also have underground parking. It is a great hotel,; however, the only negative is their internet WIFI service, while it is free, it does not reach the rooms and while we were there the access in the lobby is constantly being interrupted and it is difficult to do much with it. We spoke with the front desk however they did not know anything about it and were not helpful in resolving the problem.

2 Times a CharmI have stayed at the Esplanade in Usedom two times, a 4 star property that feels like a 5 star hotel. The hotel is housed in a romantic 19th century structure built by a former Prussian Prince as a summer residence. The property is a 3 minute walk to the beach or if it is cold outside there is a full service spa across the street in a sister hotel of the same hotel company. What I really liked bout the Espanade is the restaurant. I ate there for the buffet breakfast and dinner. The dinner menu is the main attraction. I enjoyed a 3 course meal, the main course was a local fish caught from the sea, complete with a nice wine. My double room had a nice terrace facing the main street. Outside noise was not a problem. Service was never an issue. The staff was very nice, friendly everything a person would expect from a hotel of this level. The interior is charming in the sphere of traditional classic hotel with indoor sun terraces for a drink or a meal. I visited in the off season so I did not enjoy the outdoor terraces. A problem free Internet connection made working from my room stress free. I am planning my return this summer to Usedom in May, guess where I will stay, again.

The room for kings and queensA fabulous old hotel with luxury rooms, a royal feel and all modern facilities. The reading room is fantastic and the staff friendly and helpful. The building layout is odd going to the second and third floors but easy to get used to. The breakfast buffet was simple but tasty with a large range of options. We felt like king and queen with a room with sea views and luxury. If you can afford to stay here I highly recommend it to you.

Not really a 4-Star Hotel (anymore)The hotel looks great from the outside, a bit less from the inside. The furniture is very traditional, some of the pieces are not in a good shape anymore. The room was relatively large and the beds were very good. The breakfast was absolutely gorgeous. Maybe the best thing in this Hotel. The hotel needs a bit of maintenance. Maybe not easy during Corona times. "In order to reduce the Corona risk" they only clean the room every three days. Not sure how this will reduce the risk. The reception is not in the hotel anymore but in another three star SeeTel Hotel on the other side of the street. The staff on the reception are absolutely unfriendly and harsh. I did not feel as a guest but more as an intruder. Covid: The staff in the breakfast room needs some training how to wear a mask properly. Some of them only covered the mouth but not the nose...

Good seaside hotel in a quiet part of GermanyGood and clean. The staff are very helpful and seem to be all Polish. Again here English is rarely spoken but the receptionist, Agnieszka, speaks English extremely well and is very helpful. The breakfast is the usual buffet. For the evening meal go to the sister hotel across the road. The hotel is well situated for the beach and pier where at this time of year you can go for bracing walks. Just near the pier shopping area is an excellent frankfurter stand.
