  Una decepción

  Pasamos un fin de semana en familia y el hotel tiene todo para ser un gran hotel pero le falta mantenimiento y dedicación. Apenas llegamos las sabanas p el sofá cama estaban sucias. Al día siguiente no limpiaron el cuarto. La pileta climatizada sucia llena de pelos flotando. En fin ... Ojala mejoren la ubicación es muy buena y la playa muy linda.

  Extended stay

  Had an extended say recently and would absolutely stay there again. Beautiful views and wonderful staff. Shane was extremely helpful at every turn. Was able to work remotely and wifi consistently available throughout my stay. I'll miss not waking up to a perfect sunrise in the living room day after day.

  Beach BLISS

  The Shell Island resort is a true gem. If you want rest and relaxation as well as rejuvenation this is your spot! The staff is absolutely incredible, thank you to Felix from making me feel so at home.

  Just okay

  Stayed one night. Room was cute. Bed way too soft. Outside hall light (no way to turn it off) shone into room, so hard to sleep. Restaurant onsite out of lettuce, wheat toast and server never checked status after delivering food. Mojito made with botanical Ketel Saturday night but with gin the next day??? Apparently you have to ask for it??? Customer service really lacking in the restaurant. Menu very limited as in only chicken salad, tuna salad and hot dogs??? Would not call this place a resort rather hotel. Wouldn't recommend to sleep here nor eat here.

  Perfect beach getaway!

  Ive lived in NC for almost 5 years and Wrightsville Beach is my absolute favorite place to go! I had some family visit last summer and we stayed at Shell Island for the first time. We had the best time and absolutely loved it!! The room was awesome and we had plenty of space. Every room is ocean view and has a private balcony. The bedroom is separate from the large living/kitchen area. There a few negatives which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. First, the thermostat in the room was unable to be adjusted which was an issue for us because it was so incredibly hot. Second, the beds are full size and not double, so you dont have much space if youre sharing a bed with someone. The mattresses were also very uncomfortable and none of us got much sleep at night. The shower also didnt have much water pressure and the toilet in the half-bath also didnt flush properly. The resort was beautiful and clean but I will say we were also disappointed that during a pandemic, they did not enforce guests to wear masks although there were signs everywhere stating that masks were mandated in all public areas of the hotel. We even encountered some staff who werent wearing masks as well. Luckily we didnt spend tons of time in the hotel, so these things werent deal breakers for us. Shell Island is at the north end of the island which we LOVED because its way more secluded and there were a lot less people on the beach. The water was also so perfect and clear that we spent most of our days just floating around! Theres also plenty of restaurants, shopping and other things to do within 10-15 minutes. And parking wont be an issue because they give you a pass so that you are able to park in their parking garage. Overall it was an awesome place to stay. We loved it so much that we are going back again this year!
