Nice Stay, Quiet Hotel, Friendly EmployeesWe drove up to Tucson to spend time with family. First time in this town in a long time. Stayed at this hotel-it is sprawling! We were given a map to our room after check in= and needed it. The wings were marked, parking is free and ample. You needed a key to access the gate. This is a four story hotel, so there are elevators. Hand sanitizer was even in the elevator and mask wearing notifications everywhere. ALL employees wore masks. They were all very friendly and pleasant. We checked in early-it was allowed. Our room was nice-no odors, contemporary decor. Not beautiful but very functional with some flair. Temperature controls worked well. Bed was firm but very comfortable. We both slept well. The bathroom took a bit to get used to because the shower was not fully enclosed. The up side to this oddity was that the shower head was directly overhead where the plexi -glass was. The controls on the opposite end so you can adjust the temp, then walk into the unit. For the ladies, a hairdryer, fold out make up mirror, and a full length mirror. I didn't like the reduced towel service-but that is everywhere.

IdiocracyIt will be a minor miracle if any of these hotels survive the pandemic. The loss of common sense, in addition to patrons, is truly tragic. How does it make sense to reduce the hours of access to the pool in addition to the guests? Would it not stand to reason that extended hours would lead to fewer people in the pool at any one time? Denying people the opportunity to exercise before 9am when the pool is flooded by children and swimming laps becomes impossible is irresponsible at a time when staying healthy is so important. VRBO has plenty of houses with pools where those trying to stay healthy need not ask for a hall pass. I will not be staying here again.

Stay at a Motel InsteadI wish that I could describe to you how terrible the Sheraton Tucson Hotel & Suites is but, despite making a living as a writer, Im struggling to find words to describe the experience. I cannot emphasize enough how appalling our (very brief) stay at the Sheraton Tucson was. Frankly, Im astonished it even is able to fly a Marriott flag because the Hampton Inn in town (where we ended up staying) has exponentially more to offer than this motel masquerading as a Bonvoy property. With rooms facing the exterior, at first glance the hotel is dated and the amenities are well worn. But, in the spirit of not judging a book by the cover, we decided to stay. We were wrong. Beyond the room being filthy with stained sheets and pillowcases, the room was dated and the noise from the courtyard and neighboring rooms was overwhelming. So much so that State Police soon arrived to forcibly remove guests on our floor. While I understand the hotel has little control over their patrons, when I expressed concerns and asked about alternative room options, I was told I could simply check-out, which I did. Beyond replacing the sofas covered in the bodily fluids of previous guests and ensuring the bed sheets dont have stains, the managers at the Sheraton Tucson Hotel & Suites could do a better job accommodating the concerns of their guests. I typically spend 75-100 nights at Marriott properties and my recent stay at the Sheraton has me re-evaluating switching loyalty programs to Hyatt or Hilton.

Platinum and above stay away from this property. We booked 2 consecutive nights here. I bought 1st night as a LT Platinum and my spouse bought the 2nd night as a Silver. What we got was the upgraded suite for both nights but only free breakfast for the 1st night under me (Platinum). The next day is no breakfast. This is end of December 2020 at a superb low occupancy. There was no lounge so the breakfast is the grab-n-go with 3 subpar items: 1 drink, a muffin/bagel, and one fruit & no more. We both checked in at the same time and the front desk knew so well that a LT platinum is the guest for the entire stay. We obviously don't miss that pathetic breakfast but why so stingy? Any Fairfield, Springhill...would have better complimentary breakfast than this Sheraton during Covid. Never again here for me. Platinum and above stay away from this property. The location is kind of sketchy BTW.
