Need better maintenance, good locationHotel Sky palace looks like it has seen better days. The location of the hotel is excellent, right near the shopping area and in close proximity to the railway station. With these things going for the hotel, if the management pays some attention to basic things like cleanliness, better staff etc, it will be an excellent option in Kannur. For now its just another place which you can choose if you have to stay in Kannur.

A poor stay in my all lifeWe have booked two double room for we two couple. When we reached to the hotel the receptionist told us there is no booking in our name. He called the manager and he told us they dont have any intimation from booking.com. Finally they managed us to arrange one double room and one room with twin bed and we dont have no other choice that time. There is a confusion between receptionist and the manager. Receptionist insisted not to charge the taxes as they are charging very high but the manager not agree as he have to pay 15% commission to booking.com There is on bottle of 500 ml complimentary water. No kettle, no tea bag, there is a towel but with dirty smell, the air condition was with full noise all night could not sleep. The breakfast choice was with idly and dosha with no other choice. Look like this hotel is less than one star but keeping the 4 star only to keep there bar licence. Not recommended this hotel

Really good dinner at Sky PalaceI have to say that was a real surprise! We dined at the restaurant of the Hotel, not being customers and we were given an excellent treatment. Amarnath welcomed us with great kindness, including the other staff guys, professional and very attentive to all our wishes. We had a fish curry, very very good. Also I have to say that the place was super clean and really cozy. Sure that I will go back when I come back to Kannur. Valeria

Fabulous food, amazing restaurant ambiance & a perfect place to returnI would like to say that the food at Sky Palace Restaurant is extremely delicious. Ela Sadya, they served as a special item and it present in an authentic way, super yummy and is great value for money. They have specials such as fish fry, chicken biriyani, beef biriyani etc are very good in taste and at affordable prices. We strongly recommend this restaurant.

lunch sadhyawe went for a lunch at their restaurant and we ordered for sadhya (veg and non veg), it was good, but then the mess up happened. Even though, the non vegetarians sat separately, waiter who came to serve the sambar and fish curry ended up pouring it on all the plates (including vegetarians) without asking and since this was plain curry overpowered by cocnut, no one could make out and started eating. When one of my friend out of curioisity asked what curry was other than sambar, and then he responds that it was fish curry. By then the damage was done as some of them had eaten as well. Then we informed the person who took the order about it and then the veg plates got replaced, but even then no one even apologized. Even though my friends didn't make a scene, I know there are vegetarians who are very sensitive, lets ensure this doesn't happen. We need to respect each one's choice and even though I am not a vegetarian, we need to respect others who are sensitive to that due to their faith. That's why after this we didn't continue even though we wanted a dessert and had to go to another place for the same
