  Well Impressed with Room, staff and food. Excellent Value.

  Stayed on a Saturday night whilst attending a friend's birthday celebration. Discounted price given because of this but you must book direct to get this10% discount. Stayed in a Classic Double room which was clean and spacious, had a very comfy bed, two armchairs, desk and a view onto the garden. Piping hot water in the bathroom. Plenty of storage/hanging space. Breakfast is just £5, absolute bargain, multi choice of food nicely cooked. Staff were welcoming and helpful too.

  Not Impressed

  This hotel needs a rethink!! Seriously, they are not taking advantage of their unique location. I mean come on some imagination is overdue in this hotel. The sheets were not crisp, the bathroom had a damp musty smell to it. The pillows were horrible and the bed uncomfortable. It feels as though this hotel is used by seedy/dodgy business men! The whole place needs a complete overhaul! I mean when in the hospitality industry one must find a way of offering a unique service which will catch the customers eye! A total and imaginative rethink is due here for this hotel!

  A one night stay over

  The hotel was not easy to find, was difficulty in parking nearest the hotel, where there is no light to walk from carpark to hotel with uneven paving and NO DISABLED parking spots, but the room was nice.

  Fantastic stay

  I Booked to stay for one night without reading the reviews as tbh Im glad I didnt read the review because this hotel Is NOTHING like what the reviews say! Theres easy parking spaces Infront of the hotel and then another very spacious car park ( this one is gravel) the hotel wasnt hard to find at all, it is situated on a industrial Estate but it was so quite and peaceful. Behind the hotel there is this massive old plane which just adds to hotel. The hotel itself has a Spanish hotel vibe, felt like we was staying aboard especially with the summer heat! The room was lovely and clean, especially the bathroom! They are taking covid very seriously! The staff were lovely and couldnt of had better customer service. 100% will stay again. Please dont let the other reviews put you off. This place is great

  Poor customer service

  Will start with the fact that the family room was actually OK in itself. However we booked to stay on 11th and 12th August & I spent a long time researching hotels (as I always do) mainly as we need a hotel with parking due to my husbands disability. However, on this occasion I was also ensuring that whichever hotel we chose had air conditioning as the dates of our stay were due to be very hot. I made sure I fully checked the hotels website. Having decided to stay with yourselves I then called to make the reservation. It was only after we had arrived and paid for the room that it became apparent that the air conditioning was turned off. I was informed by reception that this was due to COVID guidelines (actually, air conditioning is able to be used - it was on in almost every shop & restaurant we visited in Southend, as well as being used in countless other places/businesses !) However, whether or not the air conditioning should or should not be on was not my issue: this was that I was at no time informed prior to our visit that the air conditioning was not in use: it is not on the website, I was not told when I  called to book the room, it was not in the email I received to confirm the booking and I was not informed on arrival prior to paying. Had I known about it we would not have stayed. We spent 2 nights with all 4 of us not sleeping very well, we were completely exhausted by the time we left. The fans we were given just moved hot air around and the room was stifling, humid and hot. I email to complain about this when we got back home, and as yet (14 days later), have received no response.
