  Awesome sea views from fabulous apartments, great food and good service

  The Slottsholmen project is the brainchild of local boy did good Bjorn Ulveus of ABBA fame and fortune. The project is a mix of upmarket hotel suits, condos, restaurants and music scenes that once was heavily criticized for a number of reasons. However, the end result in the middle of th sea connected to central Vöstervik by bridges is just fantastic. Bjorn is to be commended and Västervik gratulated. Great restaurant (try the Bahia or the Salmon pastrami; both to die for). As it is brand new it is very fresh and really stunning albeit service can be somewhat slow (not due to lack of effort). Breakfast is very good: my scrambled eggs and bacon was made to order. Has a gym although I went to the bar. A bit pricey for Sweden at approx. SEK 3K per night, but worth it.

  Very enjoyable

  A nice stay at the hotel .Comfortable room and good to excellent food .We enjoyed the LPs in the room too as they were all of my husbands favourites .Breakfast in the room was a nice idea .The view from the room was stunning .Thanks

  Great location

  Stopped in Vastervik on the way for a night and liked the location of the hotel. We got the room on the floating part of the hotel facing the museum. The room was nice and the bed comfortable. We could also experience a beautiful sunset. The hotel is close to the city centre and the restaurants. The breakfast was nice with ABBA music playing. We enjoyed our stay and would like to come back.

  Great rooms, view and location

  Really nice newbuilt (?) fresh hotel with corresponding rooms. We had a large balcony with a great view of the harbour. Free drinks, snacks and sample toilet products in the room on arrival. Free WiFi, TV, free coffee in espresso machines on each floor etc. A place to go back to. The only negative was that almost everything was empty on the otherwise plentyful breakfast buffet already 30 min before closing it. Looked like it was understaffed, with only 1 person (?) actually making food and baking bread for all guests.

  Pricy but worth a stop-over

  Beautifully located floating hotel with great design and views just by the guest marina. Comfortable beds. Disappointed that the parking availability is so limited and costs 250sek per night on top of the room rate.
