  Hotel nuevo

  Estancia agradable en este hotel. A destacar las prestaciones de la habitación, con un lavabo adecuado, gran espejo retroiluminado, y con cama amplia y cómoda. El olor en los pasillos no es de lo más agradable, pero deja de percibirse al entrar en las habitaciones. Destacar también la amabilidad de su personal y la ubicación conveniente, justo a pocos metros de dos buenos restaurantes.

  Disappointed.

  I was quite disappointed by my recent stay. Initially given a room in which the rolling barn-style bathroom door was completely off its rollers, I reported the problem to the front desk, who sent a staff person up to look at it. The staff person told me that Maintenance would need to look at it, but that Maintenance were not in today. That's it. Heavy door off the rollers seemed to pose an obvious safety hazard, so I was surprised that was the extent of the response. Call #2 to the front desk was to request a new room, since I did not have the luxury to move my visit to a day when maintenance could fix the obvious safety hazard. I was initially told no rooms would be available, but after some persistence, a similar room was located, and the same staff person was sent up to deliver the new keys. The only problem was the new room was actually not that similar to the one I had reserved. Two beds were now one, and the bath-shower combo now lacked a bathtub. Call #3 to front desk was to complain about the new room. I was told that because I was a man, and was traveling with a woman, the front desk had just assumed I would prefer the one bed. This made no sense to me, considering my original reservation. However, by this time I was already late for a dinner appointment, and decided to just accept the obviously inferior room. Front desk agreed to charge me $20 less, which seemed as fair as things were going to get, though I was disappointed to find myself in a lesser room than the one I had reserved. At check-out, I was not asked how my stay was, and, hoping to give feedback of some kind about my negative experience, I asked if there would be any opportunity to provide that feedback. I was told a survey would be sent with my receipt. No survey was sent. I contacted Marriott customer service, who told me I would get a call back within a few days about my complaint. A week passed. I followed up and was told that the hotel had already resolved my concerns by deducting $20 from my bill. I would have appreciated a chance to communicate directly with someone about the problems I experienced during my stay. Instead, the lack of satisfactory response turned what might have been a minor issue into an all-around dissatisfying stay.

  Completely garbage "business" hotel

  Anyone thinking about staying at this property for a business trip, which they say they cater towards, is a complete fool. I just started a new job in October that requires monthly trips to Cleveland and had been to this hotel twice previously. I will never come back again. Everything about the management here needs serious continuous improvement help. I booked here about a week prior under a corporate code and received reservation confirmation. I received my check in notice via e-mail the day of, but didn't bother using it. Instead I take an uber to the hotel only to be nonchalantly told that the hotel is oversold and they wont have a room for me. Are you out of your mind? At every point during that process, no one thought maybe they should reach out to the guest? To make matters even better, they did the honor of booking a room at holiday inn. Are you kidding me? You don't even offer a comparable property, but instead put someone in a property with 15 year old carpet? I ended up just staying at the Homewood Suites down the street after checking out the holiday inn, which is the hotel that will get my business moving forward. Unless you're married to the marriot points, do yourself a favor and stay at one of the properties nearby with better management.

  Always good accommodations

  We always love Springhill Suites. The beds are always great, the rooms are always nice, and they usually have incredible buffets. I was impressed with the measures they were taking to keep guests safe during Covid. Theyre quarantining rooms for 72 hours after a guest leaves and making the buffets into boxed breakfasts. Unfortunately most of the workers were wearing masks below their nose. The young woman who checked us in had it only over the bottom half of her mouth!

  Great Stay Outside of Cleveland

  Our family enjoyed a great stay in the Independence Springhill Suites only 9 miles from downtown Cleveland. We traveled back in September and I'm a little late catching up. Our double queen hotel room was perfect size for my three children and wife. The couch has a roll out bed underneath and one can sleep there and the other on the couch. Staff was outstanding and answered every question we had and were extremely knowledgeable. We stayed four nights and spent time at the Football HOF, Sunday night football game, Cleveland vs Rams, Progressive Field for Indian game against the Phillies. Couldn't make time for the Rock & Roll HOF, but something to look forward to in the future. Downtime is easy highway drive from hotel and parking garages were very reasonable. Hotel also has many restaurants nearby including Outback and the Winking Lizard Tavern (family friendly and my favorite). Enjoy!
