  Disappointed

  My wife and I stayed here earlier this year (March 2018) and had the best experience. We called to inquire about staying here before our trip to Puerto Rico and the man we talked to wasnt very friendly. He continued to cut my wife off on the phone and raise his voice as if he was annoyed by our questions. We booked another hotel because of this which is sad because we loved our last visit to this place.

  Good experience

  I booked the hotel as part of IHG members, and good rating that hotel had, stayed there from 13th till 20th May. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very simple but was ok for me. I had few early mornings work that requested for a to go breakfast but they wont offer anything. Also for housekeeping they dont clean the room unless you ask for it (specially in weekend). But overall its a lovely place to stay in. Ill definitely come back.

  Terrible experience at Staybridge Suites Columbus Airport

  I had a reservation at this property and arrived at 12 noon to check in. The front desk clerk said that they did not have any rooms that were clean and to come back at 3:00. I advised the clerk that I was a Spire Elite member and was entitled to check in early. The manager then approached me and also said that there were no clean rooms (neither of them had checked with their housekeeping staff to verify that there were no clean rooms at noon). When I said that I couldn't believe at noon that there was not a single room available, the manager said to me "are you calling me a liar", which I said yes, I then left to have lunch with my friend (who also had a reservation at this hotel) and came back at 1:30 pm to see if a room was available yet. The manager said they still did not have any rooms that were clean. I then told the manager to cancel my reservation and that I would check in at the Holiday Inn Express where I had stayed last week, I then went to the Holiday Inn Express and checked in immediately with no problem. My friend also cancelled his reservation at the Staybridge and made a reservation at the Holiday Inn Express (Gahanna) which is also close to the airport (CMH). So the Staybridge lost 2 hotel reservations and created a bad impression because of the Staybridge Manager's attitude to 2 Spire Elite members. I will never make a reservation at a Staybridge Suite again.

  Central Location for both Business & Family

  Ive been an IHG member for decades and of Holiday Inn for nearly four. Id never heard/been aware of Staybridge. My family unit (now) requires three beds. So suites are to be a norm. I needed four nights in a central location, I found Staybridge. This location is one month old (it looks immaculate). I made my reservation online, but it looked like wed be arriving several hours later than expected so I called ahead to ensure I got the room/suite I needed. The night clerk was helpful and pleasant, assured me that my requirements would be met. We arrived, late at about 11P. Check in was pretty smooth, the desk clerk was prepared and (also) courteous. We loaded our luggage and went to our room. The suite was exactly what I wanted and needed, need and clean. The kitchenette had everything, stove, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. The living room had a nice TV and comfy (sleepable) modular couch. The two double bed room also had a nice TV and spacious dresser of drawers. The bathroom is separated into an enclosed toilet/shower, with the sink and clothes closet area. They served an egg breakfast each morning and a happy hour each evening we were there. Both experiences were valuable and ratcheted up the ROI on my stay. The breakfast server has an excellent attitude and I had also found her diligently cleaning the common area several times when I passed through. The exercise room was small yet well furnished. They offered FREE guest laundry. And there was a visiting veterans health clinic, in the parking lot, offering everything one would find in a small doctors office. My experience was a 5 (out of five).

  Random people not staying there come and go

  The rooms are nice, the staff is nice. Apparently theyre so nice that they let their friends and family come and go to use the amenities. I have just a few hours in the evening to do my laundry and every night there are random people filling all the washers and dryers while their children hang out in the stairwells. I desperately needed to do my laundry and could not because people were hanging out with giant loads that definitely were not your typical traveling loads of laundry. I basically had to stay up all night and wait to do my laundry and I actually have a job to do every morning at 6am. So, yeah free laundry but apparently free for the entire community. I actually saw people carting out baskets of laundry out the front door. Who travels with their own giant laundry baskets??? This is not a cheap hotel so I highly doubt they paid for a room to do their laundry. Anyhow, dont stay here for the amenities.
