  Lovely hotel

  We stayed here for 2 nights last week and loved it! There is something very special about the ambience in this place. Probably a result of the lighting and the wood in the restaurant and other areas of the hotel. Also, the view of all the trees and green from the big glass windows of the lounge and restaurant attracted us when we first walked in to check whether we liked it or not. The room was beautifully decorated and the flowers on the balconies were a special bonus for the eyes. Breakfast was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! Wherever we went, we had great breakfasts on this trip but breakfast here surpassed everything we experienced. There is a parking for 8E a night which is recommended and a swimming pool and spa which we, unfortunately, did not have the time to benefit from. The only thing that could be improved is the service - in the restaurant not enough waiters and also there was a slight problem with the cleaning of our room. But, nothing to put us off returning. As we arrived in Heringsdorf on a week day, after the 20th October , we were really happily surprised to see so many visitors. The beach was endless(12 klms I was told!!) and some of the old mansions just beautiful. In general, the island of USEDOM is a great travel destination. There is the beach but also beautiful areas for walking...lots of forests and vegetation.

  We couldn't have been more happy with our choice

  We had a very pleasant stay at the Strandhotel Heringsdorf! The hotel is perfectly situated and just a few steps from the beach. Our room had a fantastic view on the ocean and was very clean, comfortable and beautifully furnished. The service and staff in the Strandhotel was excellent, very friendly and helpful. My partner especially enjoyed the panoramic sauna from which one can overlook the sea and where they do infusions twice a day. The food in the local restaurant was delicious and well priced, again with excellent service and staff. We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights and couldnt have been more satisfied.

  A Classic Hotel modernized

  Strandhotel Heringsdorf was a wonderful experience for a long weekend stay. We reserved a table at the restaurant in advance and made a second reservation while we were there because the food and service was so good. Although they were able to accept some guests without a reservation while we were there, they were always very full. The lounge was great for afternoon cake and tea. We were picked up at the train station by a classic old bus styled from the 1940s like an Agatha Christie Novel. We were greeted warmly by the Guest Relations Director since we had travelled from Canada. I was surprised at how many of the staff spoke English, when I phoned from Canada, at the reception desk, the lounge, and the restaurant. We were introduced to the owner Dr. Molik who explained the history of the hotel. Our room was in the new extension section, with a sitting room and a large balcony overlooking the beach and promenade. The room had a large tub in an alcove, and the wc in a separate room. A king sized four-poster bed was very comfortable. The hotel has extensive spa facilities but we only used the panoramic sauna and solarium on the top floor. The breakfast buffet was magnificent.

  Quaint Hotel Needing A Little More Energy

  Nice hotel and appointed rooms, we had a 4 day stay with the kids. Great breakfast and peaceful area close to the beach. Lackluster service, keep in mind this is the former DDR and the staff are very slow and rather inattentive, almost bored, so that took away from its charm. Auto parking is an issue. We were told we had to book a parking spot prior to coming to the hotel and no valet. You need to park at the train station for 5 Euros a night and walk 10 minutes. Overall a fair stay, but they need an infusion of energy and some more smiles.

  Good atmosphere! Several rooms types, very good breakfast, very good half board

  Location: just behind the beach dunes(nice). Various room types, ask for the less expensive ones if needed. Discount from the forth visit. Very nice sauna on rooftop, next door relaxing room offers great views to the open sea. Half board very good, in the case one does not like the offered dishes, they allow occasional replacement from the a la carte menu.
