  The room was dirty. The curtains falling off the rails and way too long so hung on the ground. The walls were stained, the sheets stained and the bathroom full of mould. The plug sockets were exposed and the cold tap did not work. The staff were very unfriendly, noisy and unhelpful. It was evident that we were not able to refuse to pay and refunds are out of the question. This really could work as a brothel.

  Friendly staff. Rooms get cleaned daily. They really have the spirit of Ubuntu. Security is well sorted. Cameras everywhere you actually feel safe. Have full access to the kitchen and pool while you braai your meat and watch the sunset.. best view by the pool

  Awful

  I visited sunset manor for the Kaapsehoop marathon in the first weekend of November 2018. What an awful place. They firstly couldn't find our booking. Then they wanted to give us rooms which were not twin rooms like we had booked. They changed then to one twin room one double room. The curtains were falling off the rails. One TV didn't work. One fridge didn't work. We asked for a new fridge and we were told someone would come and check on ours - they never did. The floor was dirty. Two window latches were broken. The shower has no place to put down your soap and the blind in the bathroom was faulty. The toilet leaked. The worst was the noise and disrespect from other guests at all hours of the day and night. On our last morning here, the receptionist knocked on our door at 7:30am to see if we were still in the room! -no late sleep-in for us. One guest had also parked our one vehicle in. Shocking. Do not visit this establishment. (They also told us that the oven in their kitchen doesn't work.) The photos on all the websites of this page are either fake or outdated.

  Dont be fooled by the photos on booking sites...

  Photos taken for AGODA add were staged and placed with angles to make it look better than it is. Staff were brilliant, beyond friendly and polite. Our view was one over an over grown garden with rusty old braai thrown next to our balcony, beer and wine bottles in the grass and the drain outlet! Most of the lights didnt work, with either broken light fittings or missing/broken lamps. Two beehives with swarming bees at poolside... not clever with kids about. Brickwork crumbling, gutters loose and incomplete... dirty doors, mould on shower ceiling and not even enough hot water for a 1 minute shower!!! Kettle broken, tv with no remote that hardly worked (but didnt miss that) Noisy nightclub down the valley that thumped and boomed till 4 in the morning! Drunk people arriving back at guest house making a noise at 5am! Eish... I could go on but I wont... if a little maintenance and upkeep was done, this could be a brilliant venue.

  A Drug Den

  Appalling conditions. We were kept awake night and day by drug dealers and people drinking outside our room at the front of the premises. Were parked in by a drunk driver sleeping in his van. No fridge, minibar or TV. Lamps did not work. Ran out of ohot water. Filfthy and shabby! A very unpleasant stay. Don't Go!!
