    excelente

El mejor hotel en el que pude estar en mi estancia en Japón y el mas tradicional. Un hotel un poco caro, pero vale la pena pasar una noche en un Ryokan de esta categoría en el que te puedes sentir una auténtico japonés!

    Wow

Amazing experience in every way. We spent the day travelling around Hakone after using the luggage delivery service from Hakone Yumoto- a great option. This Ryokan is a five minute walk from Lake Ashi. As soon as you wander up the path you know you are going to have a special experience. The welcome was great we were taken into a small garden room and offered green tea and a cookie, the gardens were beautiful and everything felt so tranquil. This was the last we saw of our shoes until we left, the next 24 hours were traditional clothes and slippers- bliss. Our room was the size of an apartment, it had a beautiful living space with views over Lake Ashi and beyond, more green tea was brought along with flasks of water. We tried each of the bathing pools, although a little conscious of ourselves at first we soon got to one with nature, we followed the ritual of 3 baths - one before dinner, one after dinner and one in the morning. Dinner was a gourmet experience. I was a little worried that my son would not quite get into the spirit but how wrong I was, the attention and explanation of everything made the 2 hour Kaiseki dinner a wonderful experience, the different tastes were wonderful and the presentation amazing- we photographed every course . Our beds were made up in the spare room, we had a great nights sleep on the traditional futon, though an extra pillow would have been nice. Breakfast was another extravaganza. When it was time to leave, the hotel kindly drove us to the bus stop for the next leg of our journey. I could have quite happily left my shoes at the door and stayed in paradise for ever more. Thank you for a wonderful experience, a truly special time as part of our amazing Japan experience.

    A wonderful traditional experience!

The people at this traditional Japanese inn are so lovely, friendly, welcoming and happy. They all came out to say goodbye when we left for the day and welcomed us back on our return. How refreshing! The surroundings are truly relaxing and peaceful..The food was nourishing and healthy and made a nice change from Western food.It was beautifully served by our dedicated member of staff. The inn is ideally placed for access to the whole area and we used public transport which was exciting and enjoyable. They have private and public onsets (hot spring baths).

    Perfect

What a special place! We loved it so much, an oasis in so many ways. Calm and beautiful setting just what was needed. Onsen was fantastic, the staff are really amazing and nothing is too much to ask. The food has been absolutely delicious!

What an excellent place to stay

We have just returned from a couple of weeks in Japan and the highlight was a couple of nights in this wonderful Ryokan. If you want to, and are prepared to, immerse yourself in the Japanese culture this is most definitely for you. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave you will receive wonderful service and food. The location is fantastic and just a short walk from a number of activities such as the boat ride around lake Ashi and the transport links. The Ryokan does have Onsens that guests can share but to be honest we only used our private Onsen (hot tub) that was part of our room and was very welcome after a day of walking. I cannot recommend this Ryokan enough.
