  We really enjoyed our stay in the Black Walnut Inn

  Staff were very friendly and welcoming and very accommodating, loved the happy hour. The home and rooms are beautifully restored, location is perfect. We really enjoyed every minute and will definitely go back.

  Excellent B&B

  Even though we haven't stayed there recently, I thought a review was in order. We absolutely enjoyed every aspect of our stay, and it was very enjoyable socializing with the owners and other guests. If you have an interest in sports cars, especially things Porsche, have the owner show you the details of his restoration of his Speedster. We'll be back for sure.

  Perfect Anniversary Retreat!

  I have never felt the need to leave a review after a vacation until now ... but this place deserves all the stars! My husband and I stayed at The Black Walnut for our anniversary and I could not have dreamt up a more perfect location! The house is beautiful with great history and even better owners! They have truly thought of everything to make sure their guests are well taken care of. I cannot even come up with the words to truly explain how exquisite the breakfast was each morning - just WOW! We had a great variety each day - the menus were clearly very well thought out and included dishes like spinach quiche, fresh homemade granola parfait, fresh banana bread muffins, eggnog French toast and sausage, homemade lemon scones, ham and egg bake with rosemary potatoes, and more! Happy hour also did not disappoint with delicious wine on the porch, great conversation, and a lovely meat and cheese tray. All in all we cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay and will undoubtedly be back next year for our anniversary again! Thank you for the great memories!

  An amazing experience!

  "Our stay just before Christmas at the Black Walnut Inn was absolutely delightful. Although it was only for three nights, we wish it could have been longer. The house itself is an architectural masterpiece and so beautifully restored. Nothing was too much trouble and Alicia, Daniel and their staff made our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Their attention to every little detail was amazing. Lindsey greeted us and gave us the grand tour before we went up to our room, the exquisite Azalea Room. We chose Azalea for the fire with loveseat in front and separate bathroom with claw foot tub. The bed was oh so comfortable, so much so that Laura who does not sleep well away from home, got a full night's rest every night. There were fresh home-made cookies to greet us, afternoon tea, happy hour with wine and a personal charcuterie plate and superb breakfasts to wake up to each morning.   Magical at Christmas

  My husband and I stayed at the Black Walnut over Christmas and could not have been happier! Our room was compete with a cozy fireplace, Christmas lights, and the amenities of home (without all the cooking and cleaning!) The staff could not have been friendlier and happy hour/breakfast are generous affairs. I love how pet friendly they are as we wouldnt dream of having Christmas without our Pekingese. They went above and beyond to make all three of us comfortable. I would recommend a stay here!
