  Last Minute Dinner Bed and Breakfast

  Check in was very smooth with a helpful receptionist. Room was in a bit of the hotel yet to be refurbished so looked a bit tired. Window did not lock. Everything was fine as we had a bath with shower over, kettle, ironing board and iron. Staff for evening meal were very efficient, although did not ask if we required more drinks. Breakfast was very chaotic, asked to sit in the bar area and was served breakfast there. Pot of tea cold, one breakfast order wrong, waitress took plate away while I was still eating. Besides that, a good value stay and I'd definitely go back.

  Hotel ok but not worth the money we paid wouldnt recommend the food dinner of breakfast not worth the money be carefully when leaving card details as there is a 50 pound holdings fee which we were not informed on and takes 5 working days to get back

  Shocking!

  Only one word for this hotel. Shocking service, shocking food, shocking room and a Shocking Manager. Reception staff rude, Dinner was terrible, breakfast was even worse, limited choice and uncooked. Room was in a bad condition and walls were so thin you could hear everything in the next room.

  A belated Xmas Buyagift Voucher experience

  Ok, so we read the reviews and thought oh no what are we letting ourselves in for, however we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was clean and tidy even if a little dated in areas. Breakfast was good both mornings (Mon/Tues), very nice food, hot and plentiful. All staff were friendly. Evening meal was equally very nice and the bar area was clean. Social Distancing was observed at all times with room extras, ie fresh milk, tea, coffee etc put in a bag and hung on your room door. Spa facilities were open but restricted. Hotel is set on a hill so a steady climb back from Ilkley town centre but offers lovely views once youre up there. Hotel was quiet re guests so therefore no unwanted noise apart from really squeaky floorboards. This would be annoying if someone above was walking around, other than that a pleasant stay.

  Good weekend break...

  My partner and I stopped at this establishment after it was bought for us a Christmas gift. Included in this was dinner on the first night and breakfast on both mornings. The hotel was well kept, although it did have it's Christmas tree up already, in October! We were greeted by friendly staff and this a was a theme throughout. All the staff were friendly and very eager to make our stay as nice as possible. The room was spacious, clean and had everything that you would expect. The downsides to this were that it wasn't well lit, therefore you had to have the lights on. This makes it so you don't get a sense of the time of day it is (might be different in other rooms). The other thing was the heat. It was extremely uncomfortable. This is due to how the hotel is heated, all radiators come on at the same time. You haven't got the option to adjust the heat in a specific room. This coupled by the fact you cannot open the windows makes it uncomfortable in the day, and to sleep. There is a fan in the room, but unless you were 3cm in front of it, you couldn't actually feel it. This is a short walk to Tesco and Ilkley centre. Ilkley is a nice place, which I'm sure would be nicer if it wasn't raining. There appears to be a few friendly pubs and eateries, just a quiet village town. All in all, a nice place to visit and would recommend, just remember to pack a fan!
