  A couple off drinks at lunch

  On arriving we had 2 wait about 5 mins at the deck 2 be seated surely some one should be especially during covid times, Got a lovely table beside the window with fantastic views on Brodick Bay and GoatFell, our waitresses coomne (I apologise if I have spell it wrong. Was very knowledgeable on her products and was very pleased and even made time for a chat. We enjoyed our few drinks and would definitely recommend 2 anyone.

  The only place to stay

  What an amazing weekend at the Douglas Hotel, despite covid the staff made the whole thing seem normal. From seemless checkin to hassle free drinks and meals the Douglas staff were amazing. No breakfast on the ferry disapointing but the Doulgas more than made up for it along with the inspired inclusion of a tattie scone in the roll. The hotel was very clean very friendly and nothing was a hassle or a chore, we felt safe and the hotel worked hard to ensure everyone followed the rules. The only thing that outshines the staff is the view from the hotle sorry to say very litle can compete with that. The Doulas Hotel is well worth booking.

  Great Hotel

  This hotel at Brodick is by the terminal for the ferry to Ardrossan. The room we had had 2 windows one looking out towards the terminal and the other over the bay. The hotel is in an ideal location to visit the whole of the island. Our bedroom was very nice, bed very comfy and the bathroom large with good amenities. Breakfast served in the bistro was excellent and we eat in there twice during our stay and the food was good. The hotel has excellent Covid procedures in place and all staff were helpful. Because of Covid our room wasnt serviced everyday but fresh towels and anything else we needed was delivered and left outside our rooms immediately on our request. Weve enjoyed our time at the hotel and our holiday in the Isle of Arran.

  Fabulous

  Despite restrictions, we had a lovely overnight here. Restaurant reviewed elsewhere but lovely room, nice breakfast and nice area where you could have a quiet drink without having to book a table. Excellent staff.

  Brilliant in all resoects

  We had a commitment to stay following a COVID cancelled booking. In all the dealings for our first booking and then the rearranged one , the staff were fantastic and we finally made early October. We had a terrific room - well equipped with a terrific outside area. All the COVID arrangements were well thought out and superbly implemented. All the staff were friendly and professional and nothing was too much trouble Would 100% recommend the Douglas for an island break.
