  One night family stay at Federal Hotel

  This hotel was reasonably priced and in a convenient location. Our room was clean. Water pressure in the shower was great. The floor we were on (5) was under renovation. Room was quiet. My kids are a little bit older so they were able to stay in the room alone while dad and I went downstairs for the one-man-band live music, which was also fun. However, I wouldnt exactly label the hotel kid friendly as there is not anything for kids to do except stay in the room. Overall, we only stayed one night, and would stay here again (we travel for youth sports), but maybe not recommended for families with younger kids unless youre fine with just being in the room. This is not a paid review, this is an independent review.

  Best place to stay in Carson City.

  This is the second trip to Carson City in a year. We have stayed here both times. It's small and quaint. The rooms are great. The people here are fantastic. Very clean, affordable. It does come with a refrigerator and microwave in the room. A lot of other Casinos take those out of the rooms. We will stay here every time we come to Carson City.

  Awesome place!!!!

  The front desk staff went above and beyond. It felt like Jennifer and I were best friends and we just meet. The General Manager Chris, has worked hard to turn this property around I definitely will be back I love his energy and team this by far is the cleanest hotel in Carson City. I cant wait for the remodels.

  Hidden Gem for Business Travelers

  Have been consistently choosing to stay at the Federal Hotel/Max Casino since 2016 for business travel because A) staff is amazing; B) location location location to both my client site and easy walking distance to great Carson City downtown restaurants (even in winter!); C) price/bang for my buck; and D) continual improvements to the hotel and casino floor. Shoutout to my favorite front desk staffer, Jennifer Wages, for always making me feel welcome and helping to accommodate my sometimes very large traveling band of misfits (er, colleagues). Not only does she continually greet us by name, but always makes sure our reservations are linked to our rewards accounts so we get our points!! Jennifer consistently goes above and beyond and exudes the spirit of hospitality in every interaction. Over in the Max Casino Bar & Grill side of the house, Carolina and Amanda and Morgan are stellar at treating both their regulars (like me!) and newcomers with great attitudes and customer service. The cleaning crew that is constantly visible on the casino and hotel floors to make sure the place is clean and welcoming are wonderful too.

  Great Stay

  The entire staff was WONDERFUL!!! The diner was good!!! I slept like a baby, the bed was so comfortable!!! The facility is beautiful and the casino was fun. I even won a few jackpots!!! Our stay was great!!! Parking was easy and close!!! Looking forward to our next stay!!!
