  Excellent Value for Money

  Lovey hotel with a great choice of breakfast. Excellent facilities including a great bar with good COVID procedures in place. The hotel also very kindly moved our booking date even though booked as a non refundable booking

  Superb

  Couldnt find fault in any aspect of my stay. Helpful receptionist, happy to give directions of local amenities. Room being accessed from outside felt like more like a motel but that added rather than detract, quite a nice change and no awkward corridor moments trying to avoid close contact. Nice comfortable bed, wireless phone charger and information pages on the TV covering everything from the history of the local area, bar menu and assistance information. Breakfast was an absolute belter, all served along with a smile

  Covid safe environment

  Rooms were clean and often touched items sealed in disposable bags (i.e. TV remote and coffee stuff. Restaurant operated guided seating and full table service. Breakfast was the same. Overall a Covid safe trip to a place in Tier 2

  Fantastic stay in Fort William

  Thank-you Thank-you Thank-you for a wonderful stay in Fort William! Beautiful apartment with amazing views. Super clean (felt very relaxed and safe) and professional customer service. Will be returning!! Very stylish, boutique decor. We really recommend the apartments

  Disappointing

  On arrival, there was no parking available - had to park my car quite a distance away. Signage said that entrance to reception was through the bar, but access was screened off meaning I had to carry my bags quite a distance around the front of the building. When I finally got to reception, I had to walk through a thick fog of weed smoke to get to the door. On mentioning all of this to the receptionist, she told me I was wrong; that there was a "huge massive" sign in the bar telling me how to get to reception, and then berated me for not having a face mask. The room itself was fine: clean and comfortable although the fast-charge facility didn't work and second-hand smoke from people on the balcony outside came in to my room (I dont smoke, and found this very unpleasant). Breakfast was the biggest disappointment- much of what was on the menu was not available, and what I ended up having to settle for fell rather short of the description offered on the menu. The coffee was easily the worst i have ever attempted to drink. I stayed here 7 years ago and have always held fond memories of this hotel - sadly, these have now been shattered.

  Lovely historical hotel

  Lovely cosy pub. Lovely meal on the night. Very friendly staff. Special mention to young blonde waitress at breakfast (Paige?). She worked so hard and was so cheerful. Would definitely stay again. The rooms were large enough and comfortable and a bath is always a bonus!

  Enjoyable 2 night stay in a historical area

  We stayed here for 2 nights & have just arrived home. We were unsure what to expect & pleasantly surprised. Staff are friendly & welcoming. We were in room 220 - no complaints at all. The hotel is in the grounds around the old Hillsborough Barracks, there are shops in the area to get all you need - even a B&Q & Morrisons have most of the old Barracks, along with a Shopping Parade. The whole area is steeped in history & we loved everything about our stay. Breakfast was nice with a great choice (cooked breakfast is made to order) so dont expect it to come straight away, there is cereal, fruit compote & yoghurt to start you on your way whilst waiting. We ate in the restaurant 1 night & portions are good. 2nd night we ate @ Eataly Italian down the road, the owner was friendly & welcoming & the homemade Tiramisu was out of this world. The Garrison is a lovely hotel, the rooms are on 2floors overlooking a courtyard with gorgeous gardens. A visit to Wentworth Woodhouse is a must, a beautiful stately home & Gardens £14 admission each & we were there 4hrs. We would recommend & will visit again. Thank you Garrison Hotel

  Historic hotel, enjoyable stay.

  On arrival, we were greeted with a smile and plenty of information. The Garrison Hotel is an unusual place, full of interesting historic features. Our room was clean and comfortable with good quality toiletries and plenty of tea/coffee options. We enjoyed our stay and will certainly return again as it is well situated to access Sheffield, by the nearby tram stop or by car.

  Beautiful Wedding At The Garrison

  We had our wedding at the Garrison 22/06/24 myself and bridesmaids arrived the night before the room was huge very comfortable for 3 of us we had a beautiful meal they even brought us a bucket of ice to the room with champagne flutes nothing was too much trouble!! The day of our wedding was phenomenal every thing went without a hitch the 2 course meal was lovely wedding reception and buffet was brilliant last person to say a massive thank You to Stevie Wedding Coordinator she made everything perfect for us a day we will never forget

  50th Birthday

  The Garrison Stevie and her staff went above and beyond for my 50th Birthday Celebration myself and my family had a fantastic meal and the room was such a lovely size for 25 of us the Garden Room they helped dress it incorporate my colour theme it felt like a mini wedding reception it was beautiful. I would highly recommend this venue it's was a 5 star experience. Thank you you lovely people
