  Excellent Hotel

  While the reception area and restaurant could use some updating our room was excellent, large and exceptionally clean. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. The cost of the room included a full breakfast. The room rate seemed a little high but these prices appear to be normal for northern B.C.

  Convenient with no frills

  Located on main road into town and reasonably close to town center. Room was generous but air conditioning did not work. One handicap parking spot and staying above ground level required climbing steps even if you used the elevator. Front desk wasn't very friendly and acted like it was an inconvenience to check us in. Hotel appeared to serve oil and gas field workers more so than tourists.

  Basic Budget Hotel

  We stayed here for one night and it got the job done. Pros: Front desk staff were awesome, gave us coupons for breakfast and drinks. Big room. Good location. Cons: Dated hotel, and could use some TLC. Smoke stains and peeling wallpaper, dirty A/C and lots of dead bugs. Beds were okay but not amazing.

  Housekeeping starting at 5:30 am?

  Sure, its a little dated and rough looking on the outside, in the lobby and in the restaurant..... but still great service and good rooms. BUT housekeeping starting at 5:30 outside my hotel door? And all they did was take towels out of vacated rooms and then left the floor by 6:00 am. Well, you already woke me up :(

  VERY GOOD STAY AT AN AFFORDABLE PRICE

  My wife and I stayed overnight on our way to and from Alaska. The hotel is located within a mile of the Mile Zero marker for the beginning of the Alaska Highway, right on the main highway. This is an older style hotel, with a large lobby and ample parking. The staff were excellent and very helpful. The rooms are very large, clean and well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. Internet was fast. The power outlets had two issues: not enough of them that could be readily accessed, and some that were accessible were worn out. I encounter this at more than a few hotels, and it is frustrating. Other than that issue, we were very pleased with our stays. We received breakfast coupons for use at the attached restaurant, and the breakfast options provided were very good. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a pleasure or business stay in Dawson Creek.
