  Excelente experiencia: romántico y delicioso

  El B&B está situado en la calle principal, ocupa tres casas y dispone de bar y pequeño restaurante. La comida del desayuno mejor que excelente. Todos los productos de granjas cercanas que no utilizan conservantes ni colorantes. Nos alojamos en la habitación Cherubs, que aunque situada en la segunda planta era muy acogedora y romántica. El lavabo con mucho estilo. Y la cama cómoda y grande.

  Just enjoyed a two night stay in the old Registry Howarth. The building itself makes you feel you have just stepped back in time. Its very quaint and beautifully charming. We didnt eat here but the breakfast on both days was lovely. We stayed in the Duchess room which was atmospheric and perfectly comfortable. Only two negatives ; the greeting from the girl on the reception desk on arrival was rather miserable and she could do with some advice on communicating with guests. Secondly, the bath was grubby. I wouldnt normally complain but in view of Covid restrictions shouldnt have had to clean the bath before I got in it. However, I would happily stay here again and Howarth itself is lovely.

  A great place to stay!

  A very charming, atmospheric and unique hotel. We received a very warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble from our host Peter. It's in a fantastic location and we would strongly recommend eating in the restaurant, where we received a first class meal.

  Great staff and food

  We booked here for 2 nights at very short notice ( within half an hour). We had a lovely welcome from the reception staff who could not have been more helpful. Shall we just say that the rooms are not of consistent quality but we ended up in a lovely one (Memories) So please check when you book. The food is exceptionally good at both evening and breakfast. Ive eaten a lot full Englishs in my time and this was one of the best. The staff are some of the best weve encountered. Cant praise them enough.

  The stars shine at The Old Registry

  I stayed at the Old Registry for a brief over nighter whilst visiting family. Even though I am very familiar with the area, I was not aware of this hotels existence. So gave it a try. Checkin was welcoming and warm. I was informed of my room (Secret Garden) and that my keys were in the room. A quick visit to get my keys & car park ID then straight out. It wasnt until I returned later that evening that I got the opportunity to appreciate the hotel and its staff. My room was very comfortable with all the normal in room amenities. A large bath with overhead shower and separate loo - the bed, bathroom and furniture all period - with a nod to a grander time. The TV and WiFi a reminder of the current century. Like all hospitable hotels, the staff are the stars. They can make or break the experience. I encountered many including the owner. Even though stifled by face coverings - their warmth, charm and chat was excellent. A very good breakfast prepared me for a new day. A thoroughly enjoyable stay and one I look forward to repeating again soon. Thank you Jim
