  HOTEL FROM HELL

  First of all I totally agree with all the comments made by the reviewer Mrcool76 this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in nothing like the pictures on the web. We arrived late on the Monday night to find we had been allocated a room across the road from The Residence in a run down empty building which I would imagine would have been an annex to the main hotel. We were in room 925, first of all the sign on the door was hanging off and when we entered we thought my god where have they put us. The bedding had orange nylon bedspreads on, the bathroom had dark brown tiles which which were very badly grouted, there was a shower head attached to the bath taps but no bracket to hang it on, no shower curtain NO PLUG for the bath, there was a wall mounted telephone in the bathroom which did not work, no hairdryer!! There was a double bed in what should have been a bedroom no light in there at all it was so dark and dingy, the only light was over the dressing table which was not very bright at all. I had to open the door to let light in to get ready not good! There were two single beds in the dining area which again two lovely orange nylon bedspreads on. There was no mattress covers on and the sheets were all stained. The floor was filthy. There was also a telephone on a little table which again did not work. Being so far from the main hotel what would have happened if we had an emergency? As the previous reviewer states there was no land line only a mobile they communicated with. We asked to be moved to another room but they just shrug their shoulders and smile and said they were full they were lying as the main hotel which we had booked and paid for hardly had anyone in. The next morning we went over the road for breakfast, no coffee machine, no juice machine you had to go to the bar and ask for these individually. There was hardly anything that looked appetising, there was no toaster either. We decided to have a boiled egg, we had two each and all four were raw in the middle. At lunchtime we stood by the buffet area to witness two men in stained clothes come in with food in trays and pour the contents into serving dishes one of which were chicken legs which looked yellow in colour and undercooked being "slopped" into the serving dish water/gravy don't know what it was being splashed all over. We found out that the hotel did not have a kitchen but they were transporting food from it's sister hotel just up the road the Dodeca and being brought down. That was it we had paid for all inclusive but ate out every day as it was disgusting food. There were issues around the swmming pool and patio area as well. There were leaves all over the terraces which were there all the time we were there never been cleaned. We never saw anyone clean the pool. 90% of the sunbeds were either broken, torn and some had a quick repair with some string. There were great big holes in the ratten chairs around the tables. The tables where the sunbeds were had never been cleaned and were filthy. We had had enough at this stage and asked to speak to the manager who at first was told he wasn't there so we said we would wait but then the receptionist used her mobile and he came within a few minutes. My husband showed him the damaged sun beds and chairs, we even witnessed bare electric wires in the swimming pool area. We said we were disgusted at our room and everything else and said we would never go back and he just smiled shrugged his shoulders and said that was up to us!! We also had issues with no running water in the sink and COLD WATER. Before they brought us a plug for the bath we had to squat down on our knees in the bath and get washed with the shower head, as I said there was no shower curtain either. When they brought us a plug the next day when we had had a bath we could not get it back out and my husband with an empty water bottle had to ladle it out of the bath into to the toilet. Now we are talking about a so called 4 star establishment, I would be hard pushed to give it one. The main issue for us despite everything else was to allocate us a room in a closed down annex we never saw anyone else in there apart from a group of lads which we heard on the Friday as we were packing to leave the "sess pit" so we felt very vulnerable and were fearing for our safety. They also did not issue wrist bands for A/I so anyone could walk into the hotel. Also no security. I beg you DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL it was a nightmare from hell!!

  This's very bad hotel. Old furniture. People who work there are ok but they don't clean your room at all. So it's not the best option to have good wakation. Wifi doesn't work, there is only one place to catch connection near reception. They want to save money on everything. Aslo they don't refresh towers and wash disposable glasses. And you can't find hair dryer in your room.

  We were put in this partner hotel after having been messed around by the Dodeca - ALSO AVOID STRONGLY SEE MY REVIEW We had to move rooms as soon as we got here. The room smelt like sewage, the door handles were hanging off, drains not covered, live wires sticking out of the wall, bed was like concrete, just awful. We moved to another room - we soon knew this was going to be the best we were going to get as these rooms were superior (HILARIOUS) Our room has no cutlery or plates etc no glasses but had a oven hob? Strange? The bed cover had stains on was like a quilted bed spread obviously doesnt get washed- if I were ever to sleep on a brick it would have been more comfortable than this bed. Live wires and electrics all open and hanging out of the walls, one shower not even attached to the wall anymore so had to use the shower over the bath, which was an old broken jacuzzi type small bath the holes that used to be used for the bath were extracting a strong smell of sewerage the whole time. Also NO SAFE. told we would get a safe as soon as other guests left who had them in their rooms in the end we gave up has to carry our valuables around with us constantly. The manager of this hotel was as nice as she could be to us however, busy would come under another joke of this hotel. Sat at the desk browsing at shoes but ignored us when we went to the desk for help as she was busy. The lift kept braking considering we were on the fourth floor this was far from ideal in 30+ degrees heat. The only good thing about this hotel was the staff member who was on the pool bar outside he was a delight! The only credit to the hotel! The food was absolutely VILE we ate out at every meal and spent money we did not have after spending nearly TWO THOUSAND POUND on this holiday. The pool area is extremely dangerous, broken beds, broken wooden flooring, this is supposedly adult only too but children stay here I dread the poor children that would have a holiday here. Towels that were put in our room were always dirty and stained with brown marks supposed to be clean. I could go on and on about this hotel Our last day - check out was 12 - by 11 oclock we had house keeping banging on our door numerous times to try and intimidate us to leave asking us how long we would be when would we be leaving can they come in - we still had an hour in the room left!!!!! When we did check out we waited over half an hour at reception before manager turned up and then thought it was funny we had waited this long for her. We had already been told that there would be a spare room for late leaving guests as we were not leaving until 10pm but the manager made out she was doing us a favour giving us a room for the day until we left after we had already been told this was included. Anyway I wish we were not offered the room. Even more revolting than the room we had been forced to stay in the previous week. The door couldnt even open fully as an over and sink had been squashed behind it. The only was I could describe the room was like a squat!!! Long electric wires hanging out of the wall. No privacy as patio doors were on pool side and curtains didnt cover the windows - the beds smelt like gone off milk!! The toilet was leaking out of the bottom into the bathroom floor, the shower wasnt attached to the wall, the bathroom bin was overflowing with poo covered toilet paper. Empty bottle left behind obviously not cleaned from the previous people. Bottles used as ash trays! Poo stains all over the toilet, the drain from the shower would over flow and pour from all over drains in the room! The thought of it makes me sick again! Im also absolutely covered in bites and had a rash while staying at this hotel!!! These hotels need closing down

  Really great place!

  Ive spent in this hotel 7 days and I must say that it reached all my expectations - the rooms were very clean (everyday cleaned), the food was very delicious (altough it could be more diversified), the pool was also amazing - clean, it was quiet and the barman Malik was making very good drinks (but they should not be served in plastic cups). The biggest advantage of this hotel is the great staff - the people, who are working there are doing a really great job the receptionist was very friendly and helpful, every problem was solved in a minute. In the restaurant bar was a good barman Sahil - every drink was awesome. Ending I would like to tell my opinion about the waiter in the main restaurant Vassilij - I am really impressed of his work, he was working the whole days, had really much to do, but he was so well organised, that he was always able to talk to the guests and say something about the culture or the situation in the country, which was very interesting. I highly recommend this place, because of the location (very near to the beach) and the professional service. The island Rhodes is worth visiting, cause it has a great history and 300 sunny days per year.

  Overall ok

  My stay there was overall ok. Me and my friends picked this accommodation because of their children and it was ok. I enjoyed the sea which is very close to the hotel. But I have to admit that many areas of the hotel were still under construction when we visited and this is something that it can be improved. The food was okayish for an all-inclusive package.
