  Last minute trip

  Really friendly staff,extremely welcoming and a relaxed atmosphere.The breakfast was superb,great location steeped in history and walking distance to Richmond and all it has to offer Really perfect ,thank you again Mark & Jayne Aldhouse

  Best Roasts Going!

  You simply cannot beat the roasts at The Swan! Finally managed to take the advice of a friend who recommended the Sunday roasts and was not disappointed! Great selection of meat and all the trimmings. Will definitely be back again!

  Table location

  The Sunday carvery at the Swan is excellent and I've been going for years. BUT on the last two occasions and despite booking in advance, I've been offered a table next to the food servery with a hungry and busy line of people waiting to be served. Not conducive to comfort or conversation. A shame the management are packing in far too many tables and I won't be going back. The Town Wharf served a lovely venison pie.

  Mmmmm...not what I expected

  Had lunch here, the main was just ok and my friend's too, service great, a chatty barman , but the starter we had to share I thought strange...we ordered garlic bread with cheese .. expecting french stick or ciabatta with Cheese.... Two slices of bread with garlic butter and cheese not. Good was more like cheese on toast , not very good sorry the swan ...don't think I'll be back

  Early dinner

  We visit this pub twice a year prior to watching a play nearby. The food is consistently good and the wine chilled to perfection. Combined with friendly, cheerful service this venue is the ideal choice.
