  Great hotel... It's not perfect but at this price it is!

  I liked the Tango Hotel. Location is good. Pretty close to various metro lines. About 8 min walks to the Bannan line and similarly to the red and green lines. I also walked to Taipei Main Station in about 12 minutes... So pretty convenient. The area feels quiet but there are lots of restaurants around. I paid about £110 and I had a massive room which came equipped with all possible gizmos known to the hotel world. Electronic controls for the lights (app and telly remote could also control the lights), electric blinds, toto top of the range toilet, jacuzzi, dolby 5.1, 4 TVs including one in front of the bath... All the tech mostly worked well and everything was top brands. The bed super comfy. The not so perfect bits: this is a small hotel... So don't expect big gym... Or big common areas etc. In the room... Well it is quiet enough but we were on the top floor and you could hear some fan equipment. Also I like a dark room and this was not... The bathroom door was glass... And the bathroom has a window which means a lot of light comes into the room... Would be better if the glass door had a dark film on it. Nonetheless a great place to stay in Taiwan and good value.

  Below Expectations

  This was our second visit to Taipei to attend a Concert and we booked this hotel due to the location that was perfect for our venue, In general the location is great for any traveler, just few steps to the MRT line, close to most of the tourist destinations in Taipei, The staff is very polite and helpful, always smiling, the rooms are extremely clean and they kept everything in order We are pretty disappointed with the hotel for many reasons , they offer a complementary mini bar and literally what they have in the minibar is 1 coke, 1 soda, and 1 sprite per a double bedroom, what if we both want a coke?......... seriously I'd rather have a normal minibar with charge than this STINGY promotion that make the hotel looks like cheap...... or even a real complementary minibar as many other hotel we've been, Breakfast is just ok, poor fruit's offer and sadly poor local dishes offer, again we've been in another hotel in the same price range in Taipei and has been thousand times better than this, The hotel design in general is great, with high tech amenities everywhere, nice beds and linen , nice toilette design, but there are few design issues that make your stay really uncomfortable, First of all, the lack of light in the toilette, I know it is a Design trend to minimize the lighting in order to create a cozy atmosphere, but getting shaved was awful, The second is the lift, I'm not sure what is the ratio of lift per room, but this seems to be wrong, because the waiting time was crazy, because there is just one lift for Guests,

  Very nice rooms, a little small but fantastic equipped.

  Rooms are very modern equipped, decorative and comfortable. Bed is very comfortable,the bathroom have tv, comfort toilet seat(automatic cleaning,ect.) Whirlpool and separate shower. Service crew is very helpful and try really their best efforts to make me as a frequently customer a comfortable stay everytime. Breakfast is not western but up to request they offer some cheese slights. Anyway,I visit this hotel already since about 5 years frequently, I will be back again and again.

  A venue of calmth in a wonderful city

  In the middle of all the Taipeh bustle, THE Tango hotel is an oasis of quiet. The Wonderful Suite was luxurous. Surprisingly, the bath turned out to be a jacuzzi and the mirror a tv, and both could be enjoyed simultaneously!! The fully automated toilet is a hilarious delight for us Westerners! Use of the underground parking is free (!) and the minibar was complementary. Service in the Tango hotels is great and all your needs will be catered to. A nice and comfortable place to take a breather in an remarkably easy-going city.

  Covid-19 Required Stay

  If you are required to quarantine at a hotel in Taipei; do NOT select this hotel. The room is, dark, no view, refrigerator (even after being replaced) does not cool the contents. The food is by far the worse I have ever had and the portions are not enough for an adult. The food is brought up and placed at the door and you retrieve it. You never have face to face with anyone so no way to complain and you wouldn't get any results because it is a group deal. Their meals are poor box lunch quality. Tough meat, greasy and cold. Good things about the room: great coffee, microwave, clothes washer and the bed is comfortable. Everything else is poor at best. Moving is NOT an option so we have to bear with it.
