  Excelente hotel!

  Una corta y fantástica estadía! Nos quedamos en este hotel una noche, en un largo viaje por el norte de Estados Unidos; lo que resultó ser muy reconfortante para nuestro descanso. Las instalaciones son preciosas, el hotel es hermoso y si decoración y detalles históricos le dan un carácter único y particular. Los amenities en la habitación muy completos y la limpieza y decoración de la habitación inmaculada. Desayunamos en el restaurante que ofrece una variedad de opciones que van desde el yogurt, fruta, panes dulces y salados, mermeladas, huevos, salchichas, jugos, etc! Muy bien Hubiera querido disfrutar más de este hotel muy lindo y acogedor! Regresaré

  Perfect for a quick getaway

  Years ago we checked out the Thayer hotel but it was way to pricey for us. However, last week on a whim, I called and was shocked. They were running a "Lovers" Special and the room was $89. Unfortunately, the Bar and restaurant were closed the day before. We, and another couple booked and the next day headed up for a 24hr excursion. The Hotel is beautiful and well maintained. Hand sanitizerrs everywhere. The Staff were very accomodating and Professional. The rooms were spotless and everything seemed NEW. The beds so comfortable we almost slept in!! The quaint town is about a 5 minute walk to restaurants,Bars, McDonalds and a dunkin donuts. The Thayer is next to West point so expect a strong Military atmosphere within. Spacous lobby and beautiful views of the hudson. You can add the 5th Star when the bar and restaurant open. Mid week seemed to be the best time to go. Strangely, we only saw another couple while we were there, But thats fine with us. Since we like the area we will be returning.

  Dont stay here

  The only hotel Ive stayed at during COVID, that has a non-cancellation policy. Restaurant was closed so nowhere to get food; parking lot was closed so I had to park 400m away; doors are paper thin. I am a grad and I simply cant recommend this place. And they charge $13 a night for internet? Who does that in 2020?

  Always enjoy my time at West Point

  So glad we were able to feel closer to the Army/navy Game. I wish the Thayer had done more to make it the Army/navy event, tailgating, jumbotron as opposed to projection screen, AOG tent outside and ZULU time would have been a great place to gather. It was an opportunity see our tailgate friends from around the country.

  Great Job site hotel

  My team and I got to stay at The Thayer Hotel while working onsite at WestPoint for the week. The rooms were very clean and looked brand new. The front desk team was great and very helpful. Erin from reservation was so helpful in keeping our reservation open after changing the dates on her 7 times over a span of 3 months. The grounds and views are beautiful from the top of the hotel. The town is very quaint and the restaurants are open and waiting for customers to walk-in. I can see how The KNOT picked this place for the best wedding location for 2021. If you have to work at West Point this is the place to stay for the week. I know we are in a pandemic but wish this place would just open the bar for some drinks and snacks. when it's cold, you just don't want to walk to some of the town restaurants. Other than that we had a good week at the Thayer.
