  Relax & enjoy...

  If like myself you research hotels by reading reviews youll see that the Westcott has great reviews, however none of them really do it justice! What a place! We had just spent the last 8 days in Lake Tahoe & Yosemite, we really needed some rest & relaxation, we always prefer boutique hotels as they are more personal, the Westcott took that to a new level. Its set back from town but still just a 10 minute stroll, the rooms are set around the pool and when we arrived we immediately loved it, Micheal greeted us with some interesting facts about the Westcott, shortly after we were enjoying the afternoon sun by the pool. The sun is round the pool all day, half in the shade as the day goes by, there was never any problem getting a sun bed. Cocktail hour was amazing, homemade light cocktails or rose wine was aplenty with lovely fresh nibbles, I couldnt help trying to think of anywhere that is offered free of charge? More importantly most of the guests sit around for an hour or so chatting and its just the best atmosphere iv ever experienced in any hotel around the world. Most guests were in and out all day, but whenever you came back to the Westcott it just felt so comfortable, relaxing and happy. Breakfast is a relaxed affair but again fantastic, personal touches with homemade pastries and oats. Please do stay here, you wont regret it, thank you to Matthew and Micheal for all the hard work you have clearly put into the Westcott. We will one day hope to return from the UK.

  Boutique hotel

  We normally stay in one of those large, impersonal hotels in Palm Springs. But we tried the Westcott. The positives are that you are treated as if you are personal friends. Michael and Matthew attend to every need. They are very knowledgeable about PS. And you meet the other guests at the wine and cheese hour and at breakfast (which is excellent, including eggs). The physical appearance too is amazing. The rooms are comfortable, but small. The bathroom was really small. But none of this was a problem. They have a hot tub / jacuzzi which is so relaxing under the desert sky. Parking is more or less on the street, but in a designated area. We met some interesting people there. It might be nice if they got rid of some (most?) of the electric wires. It is a 1930s building renovated in 2007. Recommended. Tom and Tim

  Quite unique!

  This small hotel, just ten bedrooms, caught our eye with its 1930s Art Deco feel and we were not disappointed. No pretensions but a friendly and welcoming stay with breakfast and evening cocktails/snacks included. Rooms on the small size but Matthew moved us to a suite after a plumbing problem arose in our room. We enjoyed a four night stay till covid-19 intervened and we made a dash to the airport change our tickets!

  50th bday celebration with friends

  I have stayed at this hotel many times, I work in the hospitality business. I love the vibe its swanky, Hollywood chic, and eclectic rooms that is why I chose to book my 50th celebration with my girlfriends here. They came from 5 states. We had a wonderful time sitting around the pool, had amazing dinners and made great memories there. Although we had less than expected due to Covid I appreciate Matt and his staff for all the hard work they did to make it happen! Highly recommend staying at this boutique hotel.   Old Hollywood feel but too much stuff!

  We stayed in the number 7 suite. Very old Hollywood 1930s feel. Wonderful Jacuzzi 4 feet from our door. Spacious and the king bed was so comfortable with high end soft sheets and pillow cases. The towels were bright white and soft. The rooms are clean and updated. You won't go hungry because they have a kitchen with snacks and drinks for their guests. Coffe,cappuccino,cookies,chips,bottled water,canned drinks and granola bars all day long! For breakfast we didn't have a cheap continental breakfast in a bag but we were served at our table homemade pancakes, eggs, fruit and orange juice. For happy hour we were served a wonderful good brand of red and white wine. Also they brought us a beautiful cheese, salami, fruit and veggie platter. They played great old Palm Springs music by Frank Sinatra throughout the hotel, But the stove didn't work and we wanted to cook dinner. Outside our window was a complete junk yard of old sun beaten items. When we looked even furthe we discovered the once laundry room was jam packed with junk! We looked beyond that and saw a large yard filled with useless broken items which should have been thrown away but because someone is a hoarder kept them instead. It was not what we had expected from such a romantic getaway! It sure wouldnt take a lot to make this place a real gem. It's a shame that the junk yard prevents me from giving it 5 stars!
