  Decent place for the area

  First off, the hotel is nice for the area. The rooms are spacious and most have private balconies, unless you're in the old area. If road noise bothers you, get a room opposite the main road because it's loud at all hours of the day. The restaurant has good food, but don't expect it to come quickly. We ordered our dinners each morning and specified what time we wanted it, and it was still 30-60 minutes later than we wanted. But, that's how Africa time works. Get used to it. Last but not least, don't leave anything in your room unattended or unlocked. I had money stolen out of my bag that was hidden in a secret pocket, so that means the person who took it was looking. Yes I realize it was my own fault for leaving my bag unlocked, but I've traveled all over the world and this hiding spot usually is fine. The late food, the noise and the stolen money are why I'm giving it 3 stars.

  The best nyama choma I have had in a while! Almost as good as Kenyan nyama choma! Great ambience for an evening drink with the hubby on a cool Saturday evening. Customer service from the staff was on point as well!

  A nice stay for one night

  We had a standard room for one night, and it was a good experience. We wanted a quiet room, but in the evening, the aerobics started with loud and noisy music. We asked for another room, and they freely allowed us to move. This was very kind. The room has, what you need, a fridge, a van, large mosqite nets, comfortable mattresses, good towels. the breakfast was ok, although we as Europeans did not dare to take everything. the majority of the personell we met was very friendly.

  More training needed for restaurant staff

  I just visited the king fisher restaurant in the tick hotel and I must talk about one waitress we didnt bother to get the name who saw us coming in and gave us this look of: THIS IS NOT YOUR KIND OF PLACE LADIES, worse still, after looking at us suffering with where to sit, she approached our table to ask how we were, and stood there looking at us with open eyes a gaze without a menu with her(another gesture that we were not welcome to the place). She did brought the menu after us requesting for it. At the time we were ready to order, she was busy chitchatting with another waitress and we had to wave our hands till one waiter saw us and I must say he changed our experience, (he was very attentive, suggestive and gave us a warm service, though he was also not very informed about the drinks and some food but appreciated his service) food was quick to get to the table. I was also happy that finally the manager came to our table to ask about our experience. Music was good, the restaurant is organized but more effort is needed on the staff because the property is a good one so we expect an exceptional service.

  It was nice to reach this hotel, the front view itself is so wao, the reception was so cool, the parking can accommodate more than 20cars, the have dinning table is so great with buffer, I received a womarm welcome from the receptionist I highly recommend this hotel
