  Relaxing

  When we arrived at the topsider resort we were a little weary... but that is because we typically stay at Marriott hotels. The resort is quaint, relaxing and has everything you need! We stayed in unit 9 these units are all little two bedroom homes on stilts. One room has a queen bed with a bathroom, one has two single beds and a closet and the living room has a pull out sofa. And another bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped. The stairs to our unit were a little wobbly the unit was a little stinky(we aired it out) and below the unit is your washer and dryer and where you put you trash. We stored all of our fishing stuff down there. If you enjoy a quiet relaxing stay this is the place to do it! Unit 1 and 11 are the closest to the ocean. We brought our jet skis, they have a boat ramp!!!! They have bikes to use, but they are a little rusty. They also have kayaks to use you need to see maintenance to get the paddle and give $20. Its not always easy to find someone which is really nice and sometimes a little crazy. The pool area was ok it was definitely clean and maintained! We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. Fishing is amazing there! If you like to chill, fish, float, boat and relax this is your place!

  exceeded our expectations

  What an amazing place, beautiful beach, nice swimming area over looking the gulf of Mexico, on windy days we enjoyed the option of going to the heated swimming pool. It has a boat launch and comes with your own boat slip. Excellent value!

  Topsider is high quality for low key relaxing time

  Very happy we chose to stay here and they could accommodate us. We are quite familiar with timeshare but we don't own here nor traded in to this resort. I think our experience allowed us the perspective of the owners and I can see what they love about this place. It is an older property but has been updated and the kitchen is quite modern. If i had one thing to suggest improvement, our unit had one about 24 inch TV in the living room and none in either bedroom. Certainly didn't matter to us, but I can imagine on a longer stay with kiddos, that might cause an issue. In this day and time, I think the TV could be a 40 inch or more and put the smaller one in the Master Bedroom. We were in unit 17 which is farther from the beach than the pool, but you park right at your unit and so, as a rule, walking the entire property beach to pool is not an issue, even if you do it 2-3 times during the day. We enjoyed the beach and did not visit the pool, but it looked amazingly clean. There are several charcoal grills on site that are shared. Did not have a problem gaining access. I grilled lobster tail the second night and it was amazing. We bought ours a mile away at Lobster Walk but some others we met actually caught their own just off the beach using a net and snorkel gear! It has a great family atmosphere, but as grandparents we thoroughly enjoyed staying in the unit just by ourselves and cooking fresh seafood and relaxing. The sunset is not to be missed. Most occupants/ residents grab a drink and meet on the dock for the view. The dock is quite long, so if you choose to stay socially distanced it would not be an issue.

  Mini vaycay

  1st room dirty,Told we had to move to another room. Because room was rented after already there for 2 days.2nd room cleaner.not ocean front rooms. Only first 2 houses are.Timeshare people are rude that stay there! Not going back

  Topsider Resort in Islamorada

  Topsider was everything we had hoped for. Great location, accommodations, and superb staff! Private beach and comfortable community feel to the resort. We look forward to going back to Topsider when we can.
