  Awesome stay

  This place is great. My company and I had a month long project in the area (anywhere from 6-30 rooms at a time). The rooms are clean and spacious and no one on our team experienced any negative issues. The staff...our stay was during covid-19 restrictions and i believe they were working with a limited team but that did not take away at all how we were taken care of. David at the front desk was extremely professional and helpful and assisted with every request. LeAnn as well, she was attentive and catered to us our entire stay. The housekeeping staff led by Casey were all hard working people. Irma, Taylor, and Maria all had great attitudes and any service requester was promptly addressed. Brooke and Mikala (night auditor) were super friendly and easy to talk to and very helpful. Lisa, the breakfast gal, tried very hard every morning to make sure we had something a little different to eat on our way out since breakfast was cut. Customer service was not lost, theyre all hardworking and caring people and it was noticed by everyone staying here. Thank You All!!

  Social Distance Get Away

  My husband, three grandkids, and I went to Corpus Christi to enjoy the beach where we were able to practice social distancing. My husband and I are world travelers, but lately we travel within the southern US every three or four months. Since the coronavirus, our favorite hotel is the Towne Place Suites by Marriott, because the rooms are equipped with kitchenettes. This allows us to control the number of restaurants we normally frequent when vacationing. The rooms are very spacious and the staff are extremely friendly. David was our superhero, because he was exceptionally knowledgeable about everything from treating quest with respect and kindness, testing the swimming pool for its chemical balance, or replacing bulbs in the microwave. We also appreciate Leanne for helping us with reservations and Sandy who is especially sweet and for her kindness with helping us take a family photo. Kudos to the Human Resources department at Marriott for hiring amazing and compassionate people.

  Great service and staff

  I love this hotel, the staff is great, the sales lady and the front are very helpful and understanding, the management team always go above and beyond to help guests, the sales staff helps across the board with everything to make your stay great, from the GM all the way to the cleaning and maintenance staff, I want to say thanks for everything and I will always do business with you all every time I can

  Good hotel not great

  It cost us over $450 for a 2 night stay in a king suite. That's all that was left. We got it around 11pm at night so now even a full day. For that price I expected my bathroom vent work work, a clean kitchen sink, and a little more dusting done. Not to mention the breakfast was all junk for that expense. Cereal, mini bag muffin ugh. I expected a fresh and delicious meal. There was no tea variety or cup in my room. At least I can say the sheets and towels were clean but they went into my closet and stole my light pink one then accused me of misplacing it after I showered with I and left it to dry before we left out for a date. Plus husband said the bed caused him back pain. I got no reimbursement. I see prices saying $200 plus tax for a night so I am not sure why it cost me $450 to sleep 11pm on Saturday night and a day Sunday.

  Very rude

  I have over 700 nights in Marriott hotels and have never been talked to more rudely than I was by Sandy the front desk agent. I contacted Marriott about it and got nowhere. With the decline of Marriott over the past 6 months I would definitely look elsewhere and I would stay away from the Townplace Suites Corpus Christi/Portland Texas at all costs.
