  typical Japanese business hotel

  Just a typical Japanese business hotel. Distance from stations is not too far. Noise from trains at nearby stations is a minus, but rooms are clean, and staffs are polite. Found no troubles during my stay.

  Terrible service!

  I stayed at this hotel for a week in the end of the year... one day I left my room to go sightseeing at 10 am and I saw that all the doors of the rooms were open because the maids were cleaning... I mean, they left ALL the room doors opened and considering that there were goods from the guests in the rooms and bags and stuff, I thought that was not something nice... and then, at night, when I returned to my room, it was kind of a mess... some of my things were on the floor and all my cables were missing... I mean... ALL of them! Camera cable charger, mobile phone charger, my Apple Watch charger... theyre all gone! So I called the front desk asking for help and what can I say? They really told me that if my chargers were so important, I should have left them at the front desk so they could storage them in the safe! I mean... really? And they actually said that I was lying because the maids said that they didnt see my chargers and I must have lost them some place else... awesome service! I lost some goods and I was told I was a liar! Terrible experience!

  Absolutely better

  Then we stayed here during our visit at Osaka. This hotel is way better compare to the Toyoko-Inn Haeneda airports. Fresher lobby design, bigger breakfast area, and the room key is a card. They also clean the room once every 2 days.

  Reasonable price

  I stayed at this hotel on business. It takes about 5 min from JR Tennoji station to this hotel on foot. Also subway station is at the same place as JR. That means the location of this hotel is good. The room of Toyuke inn hotels are all same style, enough space and comfortable. Also the price is reasonable. I think this hotel is good for sightseeing around Osaka.

  Convenient location not far from JR Tennoji station

  Note that my review is in the context that we are Toyoko Inn international members (which I would advise for frequent travelers to Japan who are comfortable in Japanese style business hotels). If you desire a Western type room, you can probably stop reading this. If you want a larger room, get a "double" for one person. It will still be cheaper than Western hotels. Many conveniences are offered in Toyoko's, like sleep shirts so you don't have to pack night clothes. Toothbrush/toothpaste, razor and a small comb are also complimentary in the lobby. My rating is based on comparisons with other Toyoko Inns, although we have stayed in other hotels in Japan so those serve as comparisons as well. This Toyoko is typical of all Toyoko Inns: clean, efficient and with an excellent breakfast that will allow you to get on your way; however, unlike other Toyoko's, the breakfast starts at 7 am while many others start at 6:30 am. To get there from the JR station: take the west exit which will bring you out on the 2nd fl with walkways to the large shopping malls across the street. If you have heavy bags, you can go over the overpass and take the elevator in the shopping malls down to the ground floor. There are many places to eat along the way and a 5 floor Don Quixote between the station and hotel. Still convenient although not next to the station like in other cities. Staff were very courteous and spoke English well enough. I would definitely stay there again and Tennoji is a nice location: lots of shops and eateries; closest stop in Osaka to Kansai airport especially if your flight arrives late in the evening.
