  Charming hotel with average amenities

  My friends and I stayed between Saturday and Sunday, where we purchased the romantic package which included one nights stay, a four-course dinner, afternoon tea & access to the hotel spa, if you can call it that. Kudos to the hotel, the package is a great deal for a relaxing weekend. Unfortunately, my experience was everything but relaxing. First of all, during the weekend the so-called spa (consisting of a large wading pool with warm water, one dry & one steam sauna plus an aromatherapy room) was jam-packed with guests, about 50 at least, which made for crowded, noisy conditions in the spa area, which felt like a crowded conference venue, not relaxing at all! I did not buy any individual spa treatments, so I cant review those amenities. Afternoon tea provided a variety of luncheon meats, finger foods, small desserts & sandwiches, which was satisfactory. The four-course dinner included in the package is predetermined, as a guest you are locked into a certain menu, where the staff takes consideration to dietary restrictions, yet the food itself was well-prepared but bland in taste. Due to a centrally-controlled ventilation system which blew drafty air into my room and droned on until 2 a.m., I slept poorly despite two sets of earplugs! I also recommend bringing a sleep mask this time of year since the curtains dont block out light very well. Sleeping poorly was truly a shame since my room was beautiful & cozy with a comfortable bed & large spacious bathroom! The buffet breakfast is strictly continental with the addition of scrambled & boiled eggs, if youre looking for a British or American-themed breakfast, I recommend other places in the area. Despite these circumstances, the staff is truly accommodating, courteous & service-minded. Your best bet for a relaxing stay is during the middle of the week instead of a weekend.

  As good as it gets in Trosa

  The hotel is a bit of a dichotomy- the common areas and the food are quite charming, and would receive higher kudos, however, the rooms are very Swedish basic. The staff in the hotel couldn't be nicer and the spa services were excellent. Pick your room with care as there appears to be a high variability.

  nice and cosy

  we stayed two nights at Trosa stadshotell in a very nice room not that large but one felt at home.service is very friendly,breakfast everything one needs as well as cappuccino if requested one can seat inside or outside in the sun. the whole place is in charming way a bit old fashion but pepped up with nice modern fabrics and bits an pieces. Trosa it self is anyway with to stay a day or two

  Charming bbut just ok hotel in the center of Trosa

  Hotel had charm, however, stay was sub par compared to our other hotels on a bike trip. Rooms are adequate, beds average at best, no baths, and room was dusty. On a positive note rooms are fairly clean and fine for one night. No phone service in the rooms. I asked for an iron and first had to go to the lobby and then the 2nd floor of an extension building. Service is friendly but not super efficient. Food very good, both dinner and breakfast. Cute town, worth a few hours. Wouldn't stay for more than one night at the hotel or the town. But good for that.

  Very cosy

  Visited Trosa Stads Hotel for 2 nights. Beautiful classic style hotel and very cosy. Amazing, beautiful spa and friendly, helpful staff. Lovely comfortable room and bed. Good food and breakfast and tasty cocktails at the bar. Totally enjoyed our stay.
