  Muy buen Hotel,recomendable 100%.

  El personal es muy amable,competente,siempre atentos con el cliente,cosa que uno no esta acostumbrado en otros hoteles,desde ya si piensan en reservar no lo duden es la mejor elección.La ubicación envidiable,la comida es de un nivel muy bueno,exquisita,las instalaciones muy buenas,realmente uno se siente como en casa,se pueden realizar deportes al aire libre,quizás le faltaria un gimnasio( fitness)(palestra)¡¡¡¡,si el tiempo no acompaña,seria una buena alternativa,para ofrecerles a los clientes.Desde ya aprovechamos por este medio para saludar y felicitar al personal,que nos hizo sentir en nuestra estadia muy bien.

  Be Careful

  Firstly the hotel reception has an automatic sliding door that my husband ran into.The glass is very clear and I can see many accidents happening. The called Uppala Hotel Lacona per trip adviser is really called CLUB LACONA very hard to find. Our room 103 is attached to the bar and outside disco so if you are not a heavy drinker or dancer would ask for another room. Staff are not well trained the hotel is like a seniors club med, They have tried to update the interiors with some good results besides the front door. Breakfast is crowded and noisy, They do have a nice pizza restaurant on the beach that only take cash

  Noisy holidays

  Unfortunately we had a old room which was not renovated according to the booking pictures. But the rooms were good in regards of size and tidiness. Balcony and warm water shower would have been great. We just had breakfast there...the room therefore was not really nice, not well equipped, no place for us until we were complaining at reception. The worst was that it was noisy as hell. We couldn't really sleep and relaxe. Need to mention that there were almost solely families with young kids. Good was the beach and the distance to the hotel. The village Lacona itself is really small and probably the ugliest one on Elba. No stores, less restaurants and no beach promenade. The staff didn't speak English which was sometimes really hard.

  A true Italian family club

  We stayed at this hotel in August and were immersed in high holiday season for what appeared to be Italian regulars. The hotel was clean, professionally run with a great pool and a short walk across the street to the beach. Breakfast was included and was a huge buffet in a cafeteria-style setting. There was an optional buffet dinner for 25 Euros that looked equally impressive, though we opted for quieter dinners at nearby restaurants. We felt a bit out of place as a non-Italian couple but would highly recommend it for those traveling with children, as there many families with small children and lots of kid-friendly activities.

  Not a good ideal for cupels

  The pool area including the pool is good. We did not by the full package when we like to go out and eat on other restaurants, so i cant say anything about the food. The breakfast started out good the start of the week and went down in quality throughout the week. The bar only take cash not visa. And you cant have a bar tab on the room. This is not good in my opinion. You do not have WiFi in the room, only in the common spaces. Bad. You have to pay a som sort og service fee on checkin..? This is for you to use the pool and the Hotell sun beds at the beach (later on the sun beds) They said that this was informed in the booking sight. And it probably is. But however this is just enjoying.. we payd for the minimum pack that was around 80 euro for 5 nights stay for 2 persons... To find the right sun beds we had to go through embarrassment because we clearly was laying down at the expensive ones. We did this 2 times. We did not actually understand what the difference was and Im sure is happy that I did not pay more to have acsess to the upper class sun bed department. we clearly see that this is a hotell for parents whit kids under 16-17. The kids club take up a lot of this hotel attention, and its noisy. Al in al we think that Lacona was a good spot for a base for reaching al the beautifull beaches and places around the island of Elba. But I highly recommend to have a car or a motorbike/scooter. We had a car and we actually did not spend much time in the Hotell or Lacona for that matter. Good luck Holidaying! I cant rate this Hotell experience to more than a 2 stars.
