Business trip @ Sydney
Good proximity to RPA Hospital, but noisy location. Ask to be in a room AWAY from the street and as high level as possible. Keep persistence if no one answers your calls ... eventually they might answer.... And they were NOT that busy.

Terrible property
We stayed at Veriu Camperdown for three weeks. First, let's talk communication. We emailed and we called prior to our stay and received no response. The voice mail was full and the emails went unanswered. For the first week when we arrived, the wifi wasn't working. Considering there is a full time person in the office who stares at the computer all day, I'm really not sure what they do. We asked for a quiet part of the hotel as we were staying with our cats who are quite nervous. They put us next to reception which is arguably the most noisy part of the hotel. They also put us under a long stay tenant who had a child who consistently ran across the floor and created an unbelievable amount of noise. It seemed a reasonable request to ask for a quiet room but apparently it was not. Next, let's talk garbage. The garbage room was consistently overflowing. If you generate that much garbage, get additional bins....it's not that hard. Plus they ask guests to take out their own garbage....I thought this was a "serviced" hotel? An extremely poor kitchen set up......not even the basics such as small plates for toast or a bread knife.....small items that would be easy to add. They included only two dinner plates which meant we were constantly washing dishes. There was no toaster when we arrived and they didn't have a spare so they took one from another room. Really, you don't have a spare $10 toaster? The power in the kitchen went out when we turned on the oven and used the toaster at the same time. Next let's talk the beds......saggy and overused mattresses that needed replacing. Mattresses are a relatively inexpensive item so seems a strange thing to economise on in a hotel. They offered to replace our mattress and took me into a room where one of the replacement mattresses had a visible sag in it. Really? This is our replacement? The room itself was ok. They claimed they took cleaning "seriously" but the very first day the couch shifted accidentally and we found some un-vacuumed popcorn on the ground. So I guess they clean visible surfaces and nothing else. The shower didn't have any where to put your shampoo or soap other than on the floor of the shower. We ended up buying a shower caddy as it's not very hygienic to expect that guests leave their soap on the floor, particularly in a hotel that markets itself for long term stays. A 2 star property masquerading as a 4 star one. I would never stay here again.

OK for a visit to RPA
This property has a lot going for it - great staff, spacious apartments, location, Covid measures - but could be so much better with a few tweaks. The rooms are probably great for families and young, fit people but for my elderly mother and I there were too many negatives. The tiled areas aren't flush with the carpeted areas so trip hazards exist. There is a small makeshift shelf (hanging by a rope) in the shower cubicle which is no substitute for a proper shelf to put soap, shampoo and so on. The hard bench seats at the dining table are uncomfortable. The aircon doesn't reach the bedrooms. And the noise from the gym woke us at 5.30am.

Wonderful stay
My wife and I stayed at Veriu for a month while I was receiving treatment at RPA hospital. Cannot recommend Veriu too highly - clean, modern, convenient and the management could not have been more professional and helpful. A testing time for my wife and I was made so much easier because of our reception at Veriu. Totally recommended. Jim (and Kaye) Pirie

Nice experience
Lovely comfortable and quiet stay , secure parking, I love the outside feeling due to the open courtyard in the middle and the greenery close to hospital easy to get to in car unexpectedly large and spacious
