  Nice stay

  We have been there during a city celebration. Everything is clean, the staff are friendly. The rooms are nice. Just in our case we had to leave the house to come to our room. But maybe the house was so booked out, and usually you do not need this additional way. We would come again.

  Disaster

  The room didn't have air condition even though the website said there would be one. Also the website said that the location is 150 m from the center, in reality it takes 10 minutes to walk to the Tartu center. Those things we could manage, but unfortunately the biggest disappointment was the staff. We have visited the hotel's restaurant few times before and have always had a pleasant service but this time it was something else. Receptionists were impolite and there were not at all customer service. No smiles from the staff and we felt like we were "bothering" the staff with our questions. When I told the receptionist that we had few things in the room that we weren't so pleased about, she basically rolled her eyes and said "well then you can complain", other staff member at the background started to laugh. So the things that we were not pleased by was : Sheet in the bed were ~20cm too short, linen and robes had holes in them, there were no handsoap (we asked it for two times before we could get some), there was used beauty products in the room, dirty towels.. We asked the staff to fix these things few times before they did something about the situation. And, we did never get the right length sheets...

  Very nice room and friendly staff.

  We had e really nice experience at this hotel. The walk to the city center is nice and short. The breakfast was really good. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would stay there again and recommend it to others.

  Perfect hotel in Tartu

  We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The hotel is a monument, so it is as if you stay in a museum. That is something that we like, but maybe others don't. The room was big and clean, the shower and breakfast were very good. This hotel offers free parking at the back of the hotel, the city center is within a 10 minute walk.

  Good Hotel

  The Villa Margaretha is conveniently located a short walk from the centre of Tartu. The hotel has a traditional atmosphere and is comfortably furnished. The bedroom and en suite shower room are well fitted out and cleaned to a high standard. Breakfast is good with a reasonable variety of well prepared food. The staff are courteous and helpful. The hotel has a car park in an adjoining yard.
