  Quick break for work

  I looked very last minute for a room in Swindon and got a lovely surprise for the price. I addes 2 extras, 5 more for late check out and 7.50 for breakfast. Check in was very quick, nice friendly guy near the automatic desk, room really close and loads of car parking Design of room is a little too stripey for me but the bed was great, very comfortable and I wish I could get hold of pillows like those. Loads of hot water and masses of room. The toiletries I thought were good too. I slept like a log and nobody bothered me until I got up. No housekeeping banging on the door which was fantastic!! (well worth a fiver). I do agree with one comment about the room heating. It was very warm. Too warm for me and no glasses for water. There were a couple of issues. I couldn't get a table in the restaurant and got a somewhat terse explanation about using room service. I went elsewhere but in the weather, that wasn't fun. However, it might have been a blessing as breakfast was awful. 2 cindered sausages, 1 tablespoon of beans, 2 bits of bacon and some very understirred and overcooked scramble egg. 1 cup of tea and 1 slice of toast. Really really not worth the money Overall I will be back as it suited me and was idealy placed for work. The room rate was a bargain but service and food let it down. There are far better places for food very close by but the bed was fabulous, hence the rating

  Enjoyed a couple of nights stay before lockdown with my parents - so glad to come back to the hotel which we class as our second home - keep going village and ride the storm of Covid and we will see you back in your full glory soon

  Village Inn experience

  Great hotel excellent service very nice and spacious rooms with a good size bathroom loads of hot water and towels great food very good menu fast service very friendly staff overall a great hotel would definitely stay there again and again

  Hotel needs updating; not as nice as the Village near Elstree

  Room was very dated, didnt really seem that clean, parking was a bit sporadic and unclear. Compared to the Village near elstree which was very nice and modern etc this hotel felt really dated. The colour scheme in the room and bathroom wasnt great, and not very well soundproofed. Dust behind sofa, lack of plug sockets, obvious that some surfaces have not been wiped properly.

  Fantastic stay. Would definitely recommend:)

  We had a lovely mini break weekend stay, we were greeted with a welcoming arrival. This continued throughout our time here, everyone was very helpful and accommodating an we felt each member of the team we had an encounter with were very helpful. We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. Thank you to your team for a delightful stay.
