Amazing villa with elegant interior! This villa has a blend of traditional and modern, baba nyonya and europe style. The swimming pool plus Jacuzzi are very enjoyable. The villa is very near to the Jonker Walk and there are quite a number of art galleries along the same street. We can easily get cozy cafes around too. This is a place that deserves our revisit next trip

Mom, Aunty & sisters GatheringRight in the center of Jonker Street. Easy accessible and just simple too convenient if you looking for a short place that you can walk around, shopping and enjoy the local food. Vintage Eleven is cozy in its own way with the mixture of Nyonya and European style (check out the rooms yourself ). If you just want to rest and enjoy your "me" time, they have a pool and jacuzzi. Impressive Surely will recommend my friends to explore Vintage Eleven if they are visiting Melaka

Amazing!I had no firm expectations of the place, before our trip. When we reached, I felt some apprehensions, as the facade was quite narrow (maybe just around 4-meters wide), plain (painted all-white), and inconspicuous (small sign, no markings). As soon as we stepped inside, though, all my worries disappeared! The living room was enclosed and air-conditioned -- just what we needed to keep cool during the very hot daytime, and to keep away the mosquitoes come evening. The room had a TV with cable, although English channels were limited. Past the living room was the indoor swimming pool area. There was a spiral staircase, but I'll talk about upstairs later. The pool area stretched more than 15 meters! The pool was 4-feet deep, with a jacuzzi at one end. At the end, there was a staircase going to an elevated patio! Although we didn't really use it, I thought it was cool. Up the spiral staircase, you would find: a couple's room with attached bathroom, a very spacious family room containing 2 king-sized beds, a small receiving area with a coffee table, a kitchenette with fridge and induction stove, and a common bathroom. Both bathrooms had water heaters. The place was neat and tidy. It's location was very convenient. I'd definitely recommend Vintage Eleven!

Good location, great bones to place; not as shown in their pictures; disappointing overallThe good news: the bed was comfortable and the sheets very soft and nice. The neighborhood is very interesting, and we had some great food from place nearby. Otherwise, it was a very disappointing stay. If we'd paid less for it, and our expectations had been lower, maybe we'd see it differently than we do. As it was marketed to us as a luxury villa, we rate it as it was marketed. In addition to mold in both shower/baths, there was a roof leak, no towels other than pool towels, no hand towels, no soap in dispensers, erratic and often very slow wifi, no cushions on low wood chairs by the pool, burnt out light bulbs, and a general state of disrepair: a hole in the wall where a tv had been mounted and then removed, peeling wallpaper in the entry way, peeling laster around the pool, etc. The owner does say to bring mosquito repellent, and as much of the home is open to the outdoor air, it was as advertised, and we could not have been by the pool without copious protection. However, if we had needed to use the second bedroom (the one that has no seal over a window other than a curtain), I would have been unhappy, as the room cannot be sealed off and mosquitos abound in it. As it was, the bedroom with one bed only did not have opening windows, so we didn't need the repellent in there if we kept the door closed, which we did. That room was pleasant, except of course for the tub/shower mold issue. And the roof leak. And the wifi doesn't reach that far. We don't mind stately decrepitude, and if the place had been sparkling clean, and matched better the artfully-lit photos that gloss over many of the problems, we would have felt better about it. In fairness, they did let us check in a bit earlier than expected, yet we were told the cleaning had been done. Indeed, the cleaning staff was still there when we arrived. Maybe it was rushed and that was why there was still a used condom by the pool and a used toothbrush and a hair clump in the tub area. There were rolls of toilet paper sitting out on a number of tables, which I can only guess were there in lieu of tissues. It's possible that is regularly done, though I've never seen it before. When we had trouble with the wifi, the contact person was extremely accommodating and came right away, and removed it from the locked cupboard so we could reset it ourselves whenever it locked up. We appreciated the prompt response. We reset the modem regularly, as it had a lot of trouble dropping packets, etc. It's probably worth knowing that the location is very close to a large mosque and the calls to prayer are loud inside, including the call that happens between 5 and 6 am every day. For us, it was an interesting part of the culture, except that on Friday, one full service (apparently) was broadcast, and it lasted quite a long time (more than 25-30 minutes.)
