  New Year's Eve

  We just celebrated new year at this lovely hotel with my husband, and our one year old daughter. Location is wonderful , we did snow hiking at a beautiful path just right next to the hotel. The room was nothing special, but clean and spacious and well maintained, a very typical German hotel room. The food was great and the atmosphere was lovely. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, it was a beautiful experience i would definitely visit again!!

  Exceptionally good for such hotel

  We arrive after 8PM to the hotel, the GPS took us through the back roads of the Black Forest so we did not see much during the night. We managed to check in very fast as the owner of the hotel helped us to get in to our room fast, the room was in the 1st floor looking over the road, we were a bit worried about the noise level but this place was so peaceful and quite that only very few cars were traveling even during the day time. The room was large but the bathroom was small but functional, they did not have soap bar but the had this "all purpose liquid soap" which we did not mind to use it, towels were clean and fresh , bed sheets were very good too. They also provided us with slippers and extra bath rod for the Spa treatment . The was free internet connection with good speed, but the mobile phone signal was so weak that we had to keep our mobile phones on the window shelf to get some signals. Breakfast was exceptionally good with fresh fruits , juices, cold cuts salad and a large selection of cheese, they also had eggs cooked in the way you wanted, such good service ps that you do not see them even in some five star hotels . We also had dinner on our first night, it was almost fully booked but they managed to get us a nice table as we were staying at the hotel, they had the autumn menu so I selected deer meat and my wife took some fish, they were well cooked and well presented, we enjoyed that night as we were very tired from driving. We stayed to two nights and we walked around the hotel, it is a hiking paradise and there were lots of hiking trails there, also we saw some families and children going out for mushroom or picking, quite an active place for locals and visitors.

  Great big room and awesome restaurant

  The staff were really friendly at reception. We had a lovely big room. The hotel was very clean. We had a great meal in the hotel restaurant and it was excellent value. We really enjoyed the selection of wine available.

  Outstanding hotel

  Beautiful spa hotel. Excellent room and fantastic food. Staff all really helpful and supportive on our first trip to Germany and being unable to speak the language. Location ideal to explore the Black Forest.

  Decent hotel, great food!

  The Spa area is nice and there are a lot of options, most of them not included in your room rate. Plus, you must book such extra services in advance. Me and my wife, we wanted to use one of the Spa Suites during our anniversary, but it was no longer possible. I do not recommend booking a Junior Suite. It is simply a bigger normal room, nothing special about it, except for the higher price. When taking a shower, the water will wet basically the whole floor of the bathroom. So, do not be surprised. The highlight is really the food at the restaurant and the breakfast.
