  Spacious rooms!

  It was a long journey on the public transport prior to arrival. I asked the bus driver about the hotel and for him to inform me upon arrival. He initially did not know of the hotel and almost sent me to hotel Tann. Thankfully I saw the sign that showed the hotel name and I pointed to the driver. He said I should stay on the bus for the next station. It was the last bus up to the hotel. Upon arrival, I was given the room key and told that the restaurant was not opened. My only option for dinner was a buffet which cost 24 euros. I had no choice but to comply as there was nothing closeby and the bus operations had ceased. I went into the room and it was clean and spacious. There were two couches in the 'living room' and a small table beside it. The queen bed was two single beds put together which was a little disappointing as the middle made it difficult to sleep unless one stuck to only one single bed. There was a 3 way door which could also be a window that was helpful as I kept that open at night. There is no fan nor aircon here. The bathroom was spacious enough which was good. The TV provided was really small in comparison to the size of the room and made it difficult to see. The breakfast provided was good and plentiful. The service was good by Erika who spoke a little English. We were there for a conference in the city of Bolzano and the location and bus times made it hard to get around. A free Ritten card is given which is great for free public transport but the bus 166 was limiting as thebfirst bus was at 9.42am and the last bus was at 5.08pm. We had to take a taxi which a few of us arranged to share in order to return later to the hotel. The first couple of nights we were charged 15 euros but the next couple of nights cost 20 euros. Very different pricing. The surroundings of the hotel is nice but one might like to consider having own transport to counter the limitations of the bus timings. Additionally, do get dinner at Bolzano city with more options as the following nights we were offered a fixed menu for dinner which we did not go for. If I wanted just to enjoying the surroundings here, I would return to the hotel but if one was looking at exploring the city, I would recommend staying in the city as it was about an hour each way on public transport here.

  Outworn place, nice views!

  This can be a good place during winter or if you want to hike on mountains. If you want to visit Bolzano it is more complicated. Rooms are a little bit outworn and the wall-to-wall carpet makes the air stuffy. You can not keep window open because the smoke from nearby terasse comes in. Nice staff though.
