  Good & bad

  Rooms are big and clean, but if you like yourself you would not try to eat at this place. Just take a bed and find a good restaurant outside. Reception is also not working constantly. Breakfast was also very poor.

  Simple and nice budget hotel

  I stayed with a family and friends for a week in this hotel for skiing. The hotel is situated about 300 m from the main gondola In Matrei ski area. We walked to the gondola and it took us 10 min to the ski depot where we left our skies. I think that this hotel has the best location In Matrei for those who want to be near the ski lift. The hotel is very, very clean. Ok, the furnishing is a little bit old fashioned but everything is new and simple. I have read a comment that the food is bad and I have to say that we were very satisfied with the food. For this price of the accomodation it is more than great! The lady at the reception is very polite and the service is very good except one lady that serves dinner. There was a lot of young kids In the hotel and she was very rude. She didn't want to give milk to the babys' parents during the dinner and she said that they serve milk during the breakfast. Everything else is more than correct. I would recommend this hotel to all those not looking for a luxsury but for a value for reasonable price.

  As coming home

  I came down from the mountains and was very tired. The receptionist was VERY friendly and took the time to explain all the possibilities of the hotel and of Matrei. Was very helpfull with everything. I had to leave very early with a lot of luggage to the busstation and they offered me to bring me to the busstation. It is only 1,5 mile but for me, with my luggage, it was the world they offered me. I can certainly recommend this hotel, friendly, good breakfast and near shops, restaurants and skilift.

  Awesome

  The hotel is very clean and tidy. Rooms are big and comfortable. The staff is very, very kind and the food is awesome. The Location is also great, ski lift is only 200m away, supermarkets and local bus station are next to the hotel. We spent wonderful 10 days here and we sincerely recommend it to everyone to stay in this place. :)
