Laura JoWe spent a week at the Alpin Hotel and absolutely loved it! We stayed in the double superior room which features a four poster bed, mini fridge, massage bath, tv, balcony, hair dryer and shower. The cleanliness was 100% couldnt not fault it at all. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant. The menus for the evening meal were very minimalistic, but the food they brought out was out of this world! I would definitely recommend the salads as the starter as they do there own traditional salad! The location of the hotel is perfect and it is next to the majority of chair lifts and drag lifts, it is also just a few yards away from the restaurants and bars. The hotel also features its own ski drying room which is very handy! We have already booked again for next year, looking forward to going back!

Great Location...nearly a 5Have just spent a great week in the Alpin hotel chalets for our first skiing holiday. The chalets are perfectly located for access to the ski slopes the one we had (No.7) was about 5 metres away, you could literally ski to the door. Probably the best located in Borovets. As a group of 2 adults and 2 older teenagers we had both the downstairs and upstairs of the chalet, so had two rooms downstairs with a double and a twin and a bathroom with sauna (separate payment required). Upstairs there was a single room with a double and a single bed. Both rooms had pull out sofa beds as well. Having the two floors gave ample room for the 4 of us, a single floor would have been a bit cramped with the two teenagers. As the upstairs and downstairs are separate, with interlinking door it meant we had two drying areas which was fab for ski storage etc. Also nice balcony on 1st floor, to sit and have a drink and people watch. We were half board and ate in the main hotel restaurant which was fine. Service was efficient and although the menu was limited to 2 or 3 choices made the day before each meal, the food was tasty. The restaurant was popular with non-residents and have to say the al a carte menu looked much nicer. Breakfast had a fab selection of hot and cold buffet. So the reason for only 4 stars not 5 are: Additional Services - We booked direct via the website, which is actually turns out to be run by a travel agency. This meant the hotel new nothing of the services that we had booked e.g. lessons and equipment hire, despite it being made via their website. This lead to a few anxious emails and phone calls as the agency hadn't sent any additional details through and I had assumed that the hotel would have the details. Luckily a ski instructor turned up 8:30 the next day and all was sorted. Just be warned if booking direct. Beds - are a personal thing, but we all found them uncomfortable. I ached more from the bed that the skiing. Meal timings - Breakfast didn't start until 8:15, so boys couldn't beat the queues as lifts opened at 8 and it was a bit of a rush for us to get sorted for a 9:00 lesson. Dinner then was 6:00-7:30 which was a bit early for us, but guess again personal preference. Cleaners - Whilst they came in everyday, not sure what they really did, as they didn't replenish teas and coffees or clean mugs etc. Not a big thing, just a bit strange, Overall, I think we would come back as location great, but would probably go B&B so we could vary evening meal times and choices.

Would not recommendWould not recommend this hotel at all. Location is ok being a short walk from the chair lifts but that is the only plus point. There wasnt any warning that there was no lift in the hotel at all, with a flight of stairs to even access the hotel and then 1-2 flights of stairs to drag luggage up. Boot room for storing skis was inadequate, always unlocked and easily accessible by anyone from the road. In fact we moved our skis to a paid storage room by the chairlift, which I would recommend for ease and peace of mind. Food included in the Holiday package was terrible and poor quality, always arrived cold with very limited choice. As hotel guests we had to eat between 6-7.30pm each night, which made night skiing utterly impossible, the a la carte restaurant guests could eat until late but not hotel guests. Beds were terrible, worst night sleep we have ever had. The rooms are extremely tired and in need of updating. The shower holder was broken and the shower leaked all over the floor. Cleanliness was good, the rooms and public areas were always clean each day. All in all, I would not recommend.

Terrible service and treated like ratsA sub par hotel that refused to serve us food when locked down during coronavirus because they treated us like we were infected. Felt quite racist to be honest. Charged extra for use of sauna despite advertising it. Attached to rip off ski hire place that offers VIP skis which are a few years old, delaminating and in terrible condition. Quality of accommodation beds, fridge, chairs, couches was also terrible for the cherry on top :)

Excellent HotelJust back from staying 4 nights at Alpin Hotel. We stayed in Villa 1 with Sauna. You have to purchase a card at reception to use the sauna. 18 Lev for 1 hour. We were 3adults on a bed / breakfast basis. The Villa and hotel were lovely. Spotlessly clean and everything you need. Mini bar in the room with very reasonable prices. Villa was lovely and warm with store for boots and skis in the hallway with underfloor heating. Cleaned and fresh towels every day. Breakfast was taken in the Irish Bar downstairs. Lovely breakfast ( best I've had in Bulgaria) Varied choice with hot and cold selection and lovely croissants and pastries. Staff were very friendly and made you feel very welcome. Excellent location 2 mins from the bottom of the slopes with button lifts and 6 man chair lift. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Borovets and would highly recommend,
