Amazing resort, but not a good travel agencyOne of the best places we have stayed in during our Thailand trip. It's the last resort on the road, really secluded with access to the river, where you can swim and observe the life of monkeys! The huts are clean, although watch out for the wildlife (mostly lizards, sometimes monkeys) who would like to join you for the night! Everything is build in nicely into the forest. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I recommend getting the breakfast buffet, there's a nice selection of eggs, French toast, pancakes and Thai noodles with tea, coffee and different juices and fruit. We decided to go on the overnight lake trip. It's definitely worth experiencing the Cheow Larn Lake, it's different than anything I've seen before. The hudge rocks surrounding the water make up for amazing views. We visited one water cave. Some parts where deep enough that we had to swim so this was very cool! The walk from our boat to the cave was about 2km, partially walking through the river :) In the resort it's possible to swim and take out a kayak to see the lake on your own. We traveled the lake on Longtail boats, nice experience, but prepare to get wet when the wind blows your way! We had also a morning safari by boat. The engines of the boats make a lot of noise while running so I'm pretty sure that scares away all the animals. We saw two small monkeys from a far. The low point of the trip was the accommodation. One of the main reasons we chose the overnight trip was so we could sleep in the floating Bungalows which we didn't get to experience. We got a room in the main building, with the staff rooms and the walls didn't go all the way up to the ceiling, so you could hear everything going on in the adjecent rooms. Plus the rooms were right next to the toilets. We ask if it's possible to change rooms since we were told we would be sleeping in the Bungalows and they told us that the place was full. We weren't told before that this could happen and we found this a little unfair that part of the group had lower accommodation standard than the other for the same price. The trip also ended over 2h earlier than planed, it was pretty much just breakfast and the ride to our hotel. When we took this up with the hotel, where we bought the trip we just heard excuses that this was the first time in the new resort, and they were changing the itinerary and we didn't get a refund for the lower standard or the shorter trip. We recommend the hotel very much, but we would probably buy the trip from a different place.

Great place to explore Khao SokI came here with my husband and brother and we stayed here for 4 nights, had an amazing time! We had the river view treehouses which were beautiful and well maintained. The resort itself is right on the river with some amazing views. We swam/paddled in the river watching the monkeys on the bank. Pim was an excellent member of staff who organised 3 trips for us - elephant Sanctaury, canoe trip and jungle trek - all highly recommended. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant was great, lots of Thai dishes with vegetarian options for most of them. A 15 minute walk up to the village for shops/bars/restaurants/ATM/massages.

Wonderful placeWe have stayed twice, the second time With a group of 14. We love the place, the very friendly staff and management. The Excursions are very well organized and the food is superb! One point is decieving: the beds... It needs improvement, new matrasses and sheets would be wonderful by the time we are coming back (end of 2021). Kob khun mag kaa.
