  Character, quality and well organised.

  My stay here was short as I had some business to do and this hotel was booked for me by friends. The hotel was in a perfect position for the area. It was well designed and spotless. The view over the sea was a superb vista to wake up to but the black out curtains allowed you to awake naturally. A thoughtful addition. The hotels restaurant was excellent, a varied choice but the knowledgeable staff put the restaurant above all others. I made choices and then asked for opinions and these were given, sometimes for cheaper options, but ones that were felt would be a better combination. Superb hotel and staff.

  Best quality rooms in town, but questionable professionaility of senior staff

  We had 5 rooms, most rooms staying 1 week. POSITIVES: No hotel in this town has higher quality rooms. Its recently new. The design and fittings are decent quality, as per photos. Breakfast is good (includes hot items like eggs). Its clean. The junior staff are very nice. It would get 5 stars if not for the below. NEGATIVES: Generally, senior staff have an opportunistic approach to their customers. They dont respond to emails, which is disconcerting given the high cost of their rooms. They try to charge your credit card on booking, rather than hold card details for cancellations or placing a pre-authorisation. But most importantly, there are functional issues, like in some rooms the aircon flatly doesnt work. Instead of being upfront, they foist the room on the customer and wait to see if you complain. And if you do, they try and act like you have it wrong or pretend there is nothing they can do to ameliorate the issue - UNLESS you really remonstrate with them. Its infuriating their default modus operandum. Also, some rooms don't have a cabin shower (e.g. Blue #102) yet they dont tell you this, nor, put a photo on their website for that room (all their photos show cabins). Water goes everywhere. I had to aggressively complain for 20min before they took me seriously. Their initial solution was to offer that i move to the suite and pay an extra 40e a night (i.e. its my problem). In short, on booking, confirm your room has working aircon and a cabin shower, and, hold them to their representations. On doing this, I would stay here again.

  Ideal location, can get better

  We stayed just for one night on our way to south Peloponnesus. Place must have been recently renovated and rooms looks good and clean. You can tell immediately that this is a family business so do not expect any professional staff or outfit BUT you shall expect a friendly, polite and smiley reception and willing service which really matters. If you know Astros area that good you will know that this is most likely one of the best hotels you could get also being in the heart of the city, next to everything. This is why i will keep any negatives (if compared to rest of world hotels) out. What i really need to share and underline is that breakfast was poor, so very poor and omelette was something between cold and frozen.

  Nice place !!!

  Best place in Astros for sure and I think one of the cuter places in Greece. A family run hotel with attentive service , excellent breakfast, tasty lunch, great location to enjoy the nice quiet town and a good value for the money. Yeah sure the hot water takes a bit of time to heat up but I dont understand previous complaints about poor facilities and service - I had no issues and when I do in a foreign country I become extra patient to solve any issue and it works out that all are happy 99% of the time. Actually the nice girl at the front ( Laraa?) was very kind in helping resolve A mistake I had made in the booking and sorted it out happily. Pay the xtra for a sea view room, its worth it!

  This hotel is one of the best in the area. It's very central, so you can easily go out in the evening and drink without worrying about driving, it's very close to the beach, and the facilities it offers are quite good for a 3-star accommodation. There might be some slightly nicer accommodations in the area but they are self-catering and the breakfast at Astros Beach Hotel is not bad. The mini suite was really nice. We will visit again.
