  Pleasant stay

  Very nice and friendly staff. We arrived very late yet they took our food order before the restaurant closed and served us upon arrival. The food was good and we never felt rushed. The suite was nice although pretty dark and I never could get the Wi-Fi sorted out. I would have asked for help if I was not out very early the next morning. Others who asked for help were successful.

  Probably the nicest hotel in the area.

  You couldn't beat the price or the location of this hotel. There is soon to be a new hotel quite close, so if Atik wants to keep its business it will need to refresh. We got there about half an hour before posted check-in time and had to wait, which was fine. When we did get into the room, there were toiletries that were missing -- no big deal. We notified reception on our way out and the housekeeping supervisor was there and she told us that she hadn't finished in the room and the toiletries would be refreshed. Four hours later when we came back, they weren't. Reception sent them up right away. We would have liked to have visited the pool, but the hotel accepts outside visitors into pool, which made it too crowded. The room, although non-smoking, had cigarette burns in the carpet. The decor was pleasant enough, however. Breakfast was ho-hum. Wi-fi was okay. We were lucky there was no wedding that night, but there were a lot of party-ers on the beach until early in the morning.

  Room for improvement

  The Atik hotel is in a beautiful location right on the beach. Some rooms have an amazing view over the Black Sea. The room we had was very comfortable, spacious & clean. If you dont wish to eat at the hotel restaurant there doesn't appear to be many choices within walking distance of the hotel. The pool area is very nice but could do with some maintenance. Some of the deck chairs were broken, the change room doors weren't able to be locked.

  Make sure you have a back up plan

  My family booked for a week and when we called to make the reservation we asked if we needed to put a deposit which they replied no to. However when we arrived with my 3 year old and 1 year old who was very excited to be there, they told us they had called us earlier ON THE DAY to say they had cancelled our booking. No explanation as to why. I missed the call as we were driving to the hotel. Unbelievable and highly unacceptable behavior. 4 Stars obviously don't equate to customer service at the Atik hotel.

  Run down.

  We stayed at this hotel for only one night, thank goodness. The staff were nice enough. But the hotel is pretty run down. The carpet in our room had what looked like a large burn stain. The whole outside area where it looked like some kind of dance floor looked shabby and old, as was the steps going down to the beach. The beach looked dirty with bits of rubbish on the sand. But worse was what looked like squatters living in tents on the beach right next to the hotel property. Really shabby looking. The parking lot was also very small and often full. I dont think Ill be staying here if Im ever in the area again.
