  Beautiful setting, happy, easygoing atmosphere throughout

  Our first visit to the region we chose this hotel on the recommendation of friends. Located in a quiet, pretty village the Hotel is welcoming from the minute you reach reception. We wanted a relaxing break and that is what we got. After a drive through the stunning countryside we would return to the hotel in time to enjoy the pool for an hour before dinner. The food was excellent and varied. Our room was clean, tidy and comfortable. All the staff were anxious to make our stay enjoyable and they certainly achieved their aim. We had a lot of fun with them and like to think we have made new friends. We returned home feeling refreshed. Will we ever return? You bet we will.

  In the mountains

  A lovely small hotel in a unique and unusual village. The patron and his wife were very friendly and helpful. It is off the beaten track which it made it more interesting. Must be very special in winter

  Good family focused hotel

  We stayed for one night at this hotel. It is in a small and peaceful village. The hotel is family focused with good rooms and facilities. The swimming pool, whilst busy, was good. The evening meal was good and very traditional. The owners are very welcoming and make you feel at home. Definitely to be recommended as a family if you are in this area.

  Peaceful

  Enjoyed our stay in La Tomette, breakfast excellent, staff very friendly. Room compact but spotlessly clean. Grounds well very well laid out to create rooms . Large covered pool, several areas for sitting. I found the bed very hard which is why I marked it down, we had a bit of a drain smell in the bathroom too. Vitrac is a charming village, very picture postcard !

  A strangely wonderful place

  We booked as they take dogs. Didn't read the small print that this was only in the rooms and not the restaurant. However the very inventive, helpful manager arranged for us to have a table by the french doors so our Lab could lay "outside" but next to us. The food is generally good although my steak had to be sent back as it was very tough, this was readily exchanged and the next one was fine. The food isn't cheap and might be considered a touch expensive (there is a bistro cafe in the village) but the service is good, bordering excellent when the manager is providing it, They have a pool, a health spa, a tree house and a gypsy caravan, both of which can be booked if you want something different. The room was very clean with shutters and a decent shower. In high summer it could benefit from aircon. Our room was above the outside bar/deck but this wasn't a problem.
