  Very good location, a few steps to the beach. staff are helpful and speak english room, rooms are cleaning daily but there is no refrigerator, no wifi, poor breakfast (have a look for lettuce before you eat) .

  BAD ROOMS/LOUD MUSIC

  Before you read this I would like you to know that THE STAFF at the hotel are AMAZING and WILL bend over backwards for you BUT.... the rooms are sooooo bad and I always stay in basic accommodation, but this is UNBELIEVABLE and on another level..... the hotel is like an open air hotel so the music from the 3 night clubs over the road turns the hotel into ONE HUGE SPEAKER and that last u til 4am..... after a long flight and travelling I had one hour sleep.... and had to move rooms..... (I can still hear the music just not as intense) .... THE ROOM!! Broken bath shabby mismatched tiles..... plaster hanging from the walls... AIRCON leaking and dripping with water.... wet all my clothes in my case!! The fridge wire runs through the room into the bathroom (health and safety hazard) The beds are hard and pillows are too soft (so u may as well rest your head on the mattress) FOOD!!! Just dont eat it!!!! GUMBET- has changed the shop keepers seem rude and dont want to barter like back in the day!! Its like they want money but dont want to work for it! I felt they are all out to get as much money as possible when its not worth it! PLEASE VISIT - Uncle festers lounge across from ricks BEST FOOD WE FOUND!!!!!!

  Disappointed

  We stayed here 6 years ago and had a lovely time, what a difference this time, the hotel needs a make over, we had to ask for clean towels/bedding etc, the room itself was okay we were on the ground floor overlooking the pool, in the 2 weeks we were there the shower cubicle, sink and loo were not cleaned at all. The pool water itself turned a murky green I had to complain to the manager who did act upon this straight away. We will not stay here again apart from the location it has gone down hill, the staff were lovely though.

  Good location,various food and friendly staff

  Hotel Baba is a perfect place for spending nice vacation at a wonderful bay facing the Aegean sea under the blue sky and warm sun. There are all facilities for relaxing and having fun so please, forget Bali, Mykonos, and St. Tropez and try Gumbet in Bodrum peninsula. You will be surprised by its lovely hotels, beach clubs, food scene, and the abundance of super yachts drifting in its turquoise waters. In particular - about hotel Baba I apply some photos from my stay here which express more than I can say. I pay special a attention to the fact that there are too many dogs walking free amongst tourists on the beach in front of hotel Baba. At least it is not very hygienic - escpecially when dogs decide to lie on the deck chairs. So if management of hotel Baba resolves this problem in the future I am sure that guests of the hotel would feel much better!

  UTTERLY VILE!

  Before I start my review I want to point out that Ive stayed at this hotel before so knew exactly what to expect... well. So I thought! It turns out this hotel has gone downhill beyond all belief. Im not fussy when it comes to hotels in gumbet - I know they are all much of a muchness but Baba is in a dirty league of its own! Firstly we came into our room and noticed it was totally invaded with ants on the floor - not a good first impression when you first set foot though your hotel room door. You can see in the pictures attached how we left a drink out overnight whilst we slept and woke up to the drink absolutely swimming with these ants!!! Absolutely disgusting. Ended up with so many bites from them!!! We reported this to the reception only to be told nope no ants so after this incident we took the glass up to show them and they said they would get the cleaner to spray the room.... surprisingly enough, the ants all came back and we barely saw a cleaner all holiday!!! We went the entire 10 days without the shower cubicle being cleaned once, and every single day we would have to go walking up to reception to get towels because the cleaners never left any in our room when they did bother to turn up! Baring in mind if you stay on the bottom floor you have about 4 flights of steep stairs to walk up and down to go to the reception, of which I slipped down and really badly hurt my back on one of my daily towel request runs - wouldnt have happened if the cleaners did their job and left the towels in the room so that I didnt have to go trekking up and down the stairs every day!! Before I finish up this atrocious review I wanna tell you about the noise too... relentless!!! If its not the banging Zeus nightclub next door that has music on full volume till all hours, its the ground staff sweeping the floors outside your room and ramming the brooms into the walls and doors waking you up. Im sorry to say but this hotel has gone toooooooo far backwards and needs some serious TLC because not only is it outdated and ruined, its absolutely filthy (it takes a lot for me to say something like this as I have stayed in some bad places before!!) the only thing that this hotel has going for it any more is its location - right on the beach, right by bar street, and equidistant to all the good restaurants and bars either side. Sorry to say but Ive stayed in the Hotel Baba for the last time!
