Lovely room, shame about the food!

I had a nice room with a balcony, with a side sea-view. The only problem was that things were mainly out of my reach! The towels were all placed too high for me to comfortably reach without stretching and standing on tip-toe. There was no wardrobe only a clothes rail which I really struggled to reach. There was a well equipped en suite bathroom and the bed was very comfortable. There was adequate storage space for me and the room was kept very clean. There was a fridge in the room, however there was no tea and coffee making facilities provided in the room, or in any of the lobbies. There was a phone, colour TV(not with any English channels) and free Wi Fi. I did not like the food, although the salad bar was good with an excellent choice on it. The only problem was that it was never restocked, so you had to be down at 7:30pm prompt to take advantage of it. The breakfast food was very good with plenty of choice, however orange juice was only available on the first 3 days of my 7 days stay there.

    Could be better

Visited with National Holidays. Our room overlooking the beach had a balcony and was kept clean and beds remade every day. It had a safe and fridge. It was however noisy - the TV in the room next door could be easily heard as could footsteps in the room above. At dinner on the second night the live music was so loud that people were leaving their meal and the dining room. The breakfast was continental and the same each day but constantly ran out of cups, bowls, milk so there were long waits for replenishing. The dinner was four courses but took ages as the service was poor, very slow with only one waiter understanding English. Also the choice of sweets was always the same and often ran out between ordering and getting it. Also there is no porterage so elderly guests were carrying their own bags.

A Great Hotel - National Holidays

This hotel has a fantastic position right on the promenade with terrific views of the beach. Close to shops, restaurants and bars but just out of the main tourist area of Riccione which means it has a nice quiet position. Outside sheltered seating area. Excellent Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. Two good-sized lifts. Free Tea urn available in the bar area if you fancy a hot drink just ask at the bar for milk. Italian hotels do not usually have tea/coffee facilities in the bedroom, so best take your own travel kettle. Drinks prices in the bar are very reasonable and the barman makes a fantastic Aperol Spritz! The whole hotel is very clean and well maintained and the bedrooms have already been refurbished to a high standard and, I believe, the main reception areas are to be renovated this winter. Great Bedroom, very spacious, modern, lots of cupboards, shelves and wardrobes. Large desk/dressing table top area, fridge, TV, aircon and extra-large comfortable twin beds. Large shower room with good supply of towels and toiletries. Balcony with table and chairs and good sea views (Room No .608 on 6th floor). The curtains are electrically operated from switches by the bedside and there is a small Safety Deposit Box behind the curtains built into the wall, just ask at Reception for the key (no charge). Great breakfast buffet with lots of choice including hot food. I have never seen such an assortment of croissants before (plain, almond, marmalade, custard, and others) as well as pain au chocolat and the usual breakfast pastries. The staff try to please and work hard to replenish the empty dishes and sometimes could not keep up as people kept interrupting the waiter to ask for other things. The evening meal consisted of a really good salad and hors d'oeuvres buffet, then a choice of different pastas, soup, main courses and desserts served at the table. Dinner service starts from 7.30 and, as you are in Italy, is leisurely, but sometimes could be a little erratic mainly because of a young man in training. Staff are very obliging and helpful and speak good English. Good bus service into Rimini (2 Euros per person each way), the bus stop is right outside the hotel. Buy a ticket from the machine on the bus (just press the Union Jack for the English language and follow the instructions its best to have Euro coins handy not notes).

    food lets it down

The hotel is in a good position on the sea front and for local transport. We had a large room which had a balcony with a sea view. The beds were very comfortable and changed regularly, the room was very clean as were the other parts of the hotel The diner was waiter service and we enjoyed most of the food, the salad bar had a good selection but the main courses were on the small side.We liked the pasta and got good portions so these compensated for the main dishes.Breakfasts were a bit chaotic.
