  For a perfect and luxury stay!

  I would certainly stay again in this villa! It was very clean and had all the necessary equipment at every room. Very quiet area with a perfect view! From there you can travel easily at the best beaches of the perfecture.

  I fell in love with this villa

  Our trip at the villa was simply amazing. Epitropakis our host was wonderful, accomodating to our needs in a personal matter. He was easy to reach at all times so if we needed something from him, he would provide it. His mother is the person who cleans the house twice a week, and she also came over often to give us a breakfast that had only fresh ingredients straight from her garden! One day, she recommended a place for us to eat on Falassarma beach. She called the restaurant and when we arrived we were told that all our drinks for the night would be free. It turns out that the staff knew the mother and lived in Tavronitis themselves. Once we had finished our meal (which lasted 5 hours because they brought out so many courses) the waiter DROVE US HOME in our car because he was afraid we were too drunk (even though we weren't). I suppose I'm telling this story because this is the type of personalized service you can expect from Epitropakis and his mother. The villa's location is also great--20 minutes from Chania city center and it's to the west of Chania which means its closer to famous beaches such as Elafonisi and Balos. Here is a tip: when searching for the villa on Google Maps, use "Antilia Apartments Tavronitis" instead of Caneva Luxury Villas. We got lost on the first day, but it wasn't too worrisome becaues Epitropakis met up with us and brought us there (of course). I would highly recommend this villa to anyone who is staying in Crete. I honestly can't imagine a better place to stay and I feel sorry for the tourists who chose to stay in hotels. This place is so much nicer and you will get an authentic Cretan experience. DO IT!!

  Perfect and spacy hideaway with great view and privacy

  Villa with a high standard and excellent placing among olive oil trees and marvellous view to both the sea and mountains........sunsets from any of the terraces were a magnificent and wonderful medicine for the mind. On the practical side, the kids enjoyed a pretty good wifi-connection and I enjoyed watching Tour de France and Euro2016 in football with a view to the Mediterranean as background, while we all liked the local restaurant and bakery. Support and service from the family is outstanding and personal.

  Unforgettable experience

  The villa is truly amazing, we felt like home but in a more exotic setting! We had a late flight and Michalis welcomed us at 1 am with a smile and a fridge packed with goodies We loved everything about this place and the privacy that it offers , swimming pool is amazing the bedrooms are really spacious, kitchen with everything that you need or might think that you need. Idilic location with breathtaking views , definitely 5 star

  Spotless villa with expansive views

  We just returned from a week at Caneva and thoroughly enjoyed it. Lots of space for three couples, good-sized pool with terrace, two large balconies and plenty of inside communal areas. Coffee, milk, water and snacks are thoughtfully provided for arrival. 10 minute walk down a steep road to the centre of Tavronitis with its shops, bakery and three or four restaurants. Samaria Gorge is doable in a day if you have a rental car (drive to trailhead early; walk the gorge and into Agia Roumeli 6 hours; catch the 17:30 ferry to Sougia; taxis waiting for the ferry, and the trip from Sougia back to the trailhead takes about 30 minutes (50) - we were back in Tavronitis by 21:00). Best of the local restaurants was Kaneba, hearty home cooked fare, though house wine only.
