  Very Relaxing Stay

  This was one of the few places that offered a triple room. And the rate was very reasonable. The owner was very friendly and helpful. She spoke enough English for us to communicate. The little bar and restaurant on the premises were great. Breakfast was typical European, meats, cheeses, cereal, yogurt. The soft boiled eggs were perfect. Each day you pre-ordered your meal for the evening dinner. Food was very good. There is a small supermarket in the next town over, less than a mile away. Shower was small like in most European rooms. There was a little difficulty connecting to the Wi-Fi but after a few hours the system was back online and connection was good on the 3rd floor as well as in the lobby/bar area (two different routers/hot spots) We will definitely stay there if we return in the winter for some skiing.

  Intoxicated by the food

  The host Manuela is extremely friendly and helpful with absolutely everything, the rooms where nice and clean, but the pillows consisted of small hard balls and the bed was convex so it was a trick to balance on top and not falling off. The location is directly to the big street so you must like sounds from mc and scooter to choose the frontside. The backside has nothing to see but I a little bit more quiet. BUT the problem with this hotel is the foods. It's extremely low quality and without interest or fantasy. Probably it's industrial big boxes with prison food that's warmed up in the micro. But we survived, until the last night..... Our group of seven persons and most of the rest of the guests where intoxicated by staphylococcus and a terrible night with vomiting and diahorrea sounded from all rooms thrust the night. Few we're spared and the cause is not determined at the time of this review but I bet it was the gulasch meat. Also fever and heavy shavings among the people. We called for the sanitarian and health officers to investigate. Due to this nightmare and a spoiled lovely day the overall rating is under zero But, if Manuela fires the cook, invest in good food and change mattress and pillows and start clean the kitchen , plates and glasses this could get a number 3. So if you're thinking about somewhere to stay go directly to piccolo hotel in Vigo di fassa, I did it immediately and had wonderful dinner with nice bed.   Cozy family-run hotel

  This hotel is an excellent place to stay if you want to be out of the rush of the town-center but still close to the ski-slopes. Just in front of the hotel, there is a shuttle stop (Fontanazzo) which takes you in 5 minutes to ski lift (in Campitello) to Sella Ronda ski area. We enjoyed the hotel for 6 days in Jan/Fab 2013. Nice staff, however with basic english knowledge, but enough to understand :-) Hotel offers free parking and small wellness, which was not possible to book for a private use (due to the size it is suitable only for few people). Concerning sauna, we do not like people beeing dressed in sauna, as this is in opposite to hygienical rules. Nothing to do with hotel, but we met such people over there. Room was spacious, clean, with TV and WiFi internet. Bathroom was clean and spacious too. Breakfasts and dinners were tasteful and sufficient enough. No complaints at all! Nevertheless, a position of this hotel is not good for people looking for a night life.
