  El hotel se encuentra situado justo en frente de los dos únicos centros comerciales de la ciudad, muy cerca del centro, 15 minutos andando. Las habitaciones son muy muy pequeñas (no disponen de armario) pero son bastantes nuevas y su limpieza es impecable (Al igual que el baño). Vienen equipadas con secador y cada día te dejan a modo de cortesía dos botellas de agua, un detalle a agradecer. El hotel está compuesto por 24 pisos, con unas vistas geniales de toda la ciudad. Sin duda repetiría!

  Good hospitality staff

  I had checked in to this hotel for 1 night. The room is smaller but its clean and compact. The staffs a very good expecialy the bellman who assisted me ,the manager Ms Kooi See and the night receptionist Ms Is. The staff are good aset for this hotel.   Eat and Sleep~~ North for Penang

  Never expect Cititel Express suitable for solo too, stayed at room with queen bed for 3 nights. Overall nothing bad for this hotel, bed quite comfortable and room is clean and well organised. Location just within the centre and easy access to tourist spots. Shopping mall just opposite the hotel and hawker stall also within walking distance. If anyone of you wish to stay at this hotel, book directly from their website and the price is cheaper than you book from other booking sites. Reception staff is friendly during check in and express check out is quick. Im recommend to visit Le Cafe if anyone happen to stay at this hotel, cosy cafe shop you can have simple Korean toast sandwich for breakfast. Cafe just within 3mins walk from the hotel. Will come back to stay for next trip to Penang again.

  Excellent location

  This hotel is located in Georgetown, declared as UNESCO heritage site. There are so many things to do within walking distance from here. Well restored buildings as shophouses, Penang treasure gallery, the chocolate and coffee museum, the Blue Mansion, the E&O hotel (part of is was destroyed during the tsunami), Chowrasta Market. If you take a short drive, you can reach the Armenian street, small kopitiams, Fort Cornwallis and The FoodWorld. Many other places nearby, but for a 1 night visit, all this is possible. At night, take a drive to Batu Ferringhi to experience a different atmosphere. If you want local food outside of the hotel, there are a few mamak stalls downstairs. Friendly staff, especially those at the coffee house. They had measures of checking guests' temperature during the NCOVID19 outbreak. However, we had to call the front desk twice (checked in in the afternoon, called in the evening and then at night) to put in the cot for our kid despite noting ahead in the online booking that we will be needing one . Parking was alright. Hotel was overall clean. Loved the special touch of orchid stems in water -filled vases.

  Disappointed!

  My wife and I booked and paid for a two night stay(26-28/12) before we left our home in KL. Arrived at 7.30pm and we were dumbfounded by a really busy reception. To our horror, we were told by other guest that they have been waiting since 2pm for their rooms. We were later told by the front office that they can't give us a room and we need request a refund from Agoda. We couldn't find any other hotels to our choise because it was late and had to settle with any hotel with an available room! It's absolutely not professional, we understand that you may be understaffed after MCO but it's not an excuse to let guest wait for long hours and then just leave us hanging. Never will stay here EVER!!!
