  A Welcomed Retreat

  My husband and I were greeted by Phillip and Rayma on our arrival and the car windows washed by Phillip on our departure. Everything in-between during our four days at Cobden was just as absolutely charming! The home is beautifully furnished to show-off the pre 1930's era of fashion and design. Service included a full breakfast menu; drinks and canapés on the verandah in the evening; the bed prepared for the night and a clean and comfortable room and ensuite that showed off a beautiful view of the garden. The majestic garden with shrubbery and well -established trees hid any clues that the homestead was in a quiet suburban cul-de-sac. Phillip and Rayma were non-intrusive, warm and meticulous in the way that they looked out for us. Bubbles to celebrate our wedding anniversary will always be a special memory. Mission Estate Winery was our favourite night out. Te Mata Peak was our favourite view. Cobden Garden was our favourite retreat. Thank you Phillip and Rayma. We recommend to ourselves to come again and to others - to book and stay at your wonderful home.

  Perfect stay

  Phillip and Rayma are super nice and friendly. It was nice meeting and talking to them. They go far beyond to look after the guests and let you feel welcomed. House is beautiful inside out. Room is spacious and spotless, having everything we need. A glass of port from them was a sweet retreat after coming back at late night. The breakfast was very impressive. We were offered a menu for the mains like a restaurant, apart from the continental options such as fruits, croissants, toast with butter and jams, fruit juice and a proper expresso machine made flat white. A perfect stay.

  A wonderful retreat

  We had a wonderful stay at Cobden Garden. Rayma and Phillip are thoughtful and attentive hosts, without being intrusive. Our family were welcomed from the moment we stepped through the door. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening drinks and great company on the verandah while looking out at the houses beautiful garden. Our 2 year old son just loved exploring the gardens and the box of toys Rayma kindly had ready for his arrival. Breakfasts were delicious and the rooms were generous and extremely comfortable. Cobden Garden is a special place and beautifully renovated. We look forward to staying again.

  Wonderful place to stay

  Had two nights here recently and had a wonderful experience. Friendly and informative hosts for which nothing is too much trouble, a breakfast menu like no other, and the most beautiful luxurious rooms with super comfy beds.

  Superb comfort and hospitality

  First class, in every respect. Rayma and Phillip provided us with a memorable weekend. We entered as guests and left as friends. Phillip even cleaned the windscreen on our car as we left!!! Many thanks. Superb.
