An amazing spot but an average hotelIt wasn't that amazing of staying at the hotel but in general the climate was amazing and the sea was warm. It's not the perfect time to try it right now because of war but belive me Syria is unforgetable journey.

From our arrival to our check out our stay was a very mixed results. The Cote DAzue De Cham Hotel and Resort is located north of the large Syrian seaside port city of Latakia. From our arrival to our check out our stay was a very mixed results. The hotel is rated as a five-star property, but we discovered that it was much closer to a four star resort. The lobby; rooms and hotel property in general was four star. The beach and the Terrace Restaurant were closer to a five star property. The check in and check out process was quite protracted and quite lengthy. There was no bell staff available when we checked in thus making our unloading process very difficult. In addition the car park area was very small and limited. They were available during our check out and were quite professional. It was also very difficult to find a parking area so if left the hotel to go outside the hotel we all dreaded the return due to the parking challenges! I must admit that the hotels Corona Virus practices were very, very good as the reception staff wore plastic face shields as well as the entire staff wore face masks at all times. There were the designated locations on the floor where one is to wait during the check-in and check-out process. We had booked a junior suite which was large and had a nice balcony facing the beach. Unfortunately, the suites furniture needed replacement and there TV was quite small for a suite and there was no waste paper bin available in the room, only one small one in the bathroom.

Great beach and nice hotelWe booked 4 days holiday for the family, avoid 1st floor rooms back parking view, the sea view duplex rooms are very nice on the refurbished side, but can be noisy during public holidays. Breakfast buffet is generous with lots of options. All in all and considering the post war time, this hotel is the best place for a holiday with the family, despite the needs for modernisation. Always see the room or similar room before you pay.
