  Getaway

  My significant other and I stayed in the Cone Shell room. Its located in the back by the reception area but still very close to the beach, not even a minute walk away. Cone shell was a big enough room for two adults, but definitely not more, maybe two small children. It has a full kitchen and was fully stocked with dishes, ect. The room is a little outdated, but still nice. It was a nice getaway from the Chicago winter storm. Its very relaxed and chill, so if you're looking for something like a party/turn up scene, this definitely isn't the place. My significant and l are both in our 20's, so I could tell the staff was a little surprised we were there due to this place being so laid back and chill. Overall I would say this is a nice place to stay for relaxation.

  Great location

  We really enjoyed staying here. We had the Compass Rose cottage right on the beach. The staff was very sweet and extremely helpful. I HIGHLY recommend renting a car if you stay here (I did not) as there is not anywhere close to get groceries and the one restaurant next door gets booked up quickly (be sure to get reservations). However, they did recommend a great taxi service to take us to Christensted and they have bikes for you use. I enjoyed riding them into town to the little corner store to pick some stuff up for my cottage. The downside to this place is that it is pretty loud as it has jalousie windows (slatted storm windows) which allowed not only me to hear everyone outside, but they could hear me also. I felt like I had to keep it down so that I didn't bother anyone. One other thing to keep in mind is that even though the porch is private for you, there are a lot of people that walk by it to access the beach. I am a very friendly person and love to meet new people, so that didn't bother me at all.

  Loved this place

  Best beach on the island, adorable cottages, not far from National Park. The cottages were well kept, older places with immense character. Fredericksted is very close and can be walked to or ride one of the bikes for guest. Great snorkeling right off beach at cottages.

  My favorite place to stay on St. Croix

  Just LOVE Cottages by the Sea! I stayed there first in 2014, on my first trip to the island, and fell in love. The beach is literally right in front of the property and it is the most magical water, I am sure it has healing powers. The rooms and cottages are all recently renovated, and there are a variety of rooms at different prices. Some facing the ocean and some facing the garden but all literally steps away from the water. They have a lovely cat Coco who I just adore, she hangs out around the lobby and the beach. Can't say enough, we really love staying here!

  Amazing Find!

  Our family recently stayed in the Turtle Camp cottage at Cottages by the Sea. What an amazing little slice of heaven this place was! The beach is calm and beautiful. Our cottage was clean and just big enough for my husband and I and 13 year old son - who loved our little outdoor kitchen! We spent every morning out in the kitchen and on our deck, looking at the beautiful colors of the ocean. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! The Beach Side Cafe, right next door, ended up being one of our favorite eating spots on the island. We enjoyed having access to the grills and a blender in our kitchen so we could make our own meals. The kitchens are stocked with everything you need. We visited Sandy Point one morning and it was spectacular! We will definitely consider staying at Cottages again if we find our way back to St Croix. We miss it already.
